[Day 6 - LE] Noh is the Thing

Having been uninvolved with the conversation, Konohamaru noticed the wounded Saisei make for the door and came to his side, willing to carry the burden that Saisei carried for them last night.

Surprised by the new approach, he nods to the magistrate. It seems like the flock of birds were willing for him to leave at that very moment, since he had only looked to the door.

As the Otomo departs, Masao closes his fan and turns to Hanatsuko. He looks guilty, and leads with an apology: "Toritaka-san, this one apologizes for not seeing Otomo-san safely home earlier. His fidelity to duty is admirable, as well as dangerous." He bows his head, not finding any better words.

The Crane are very, very persuasive, and Saisei follows away, replying to Konohamaru, after a side glance to the remaining pair of birds. "Thank you, Kakita-bugyo. I had to attend today, after all."

"Oh and I wanted to thank you for your hospitality during these interesting times, it has been a source of relief and comfort. The Crab have insisted I stay at the castle and I would not wish to insult there hospitality."

He had though that might be the case, but still her words received a polite bow from the Mantis, a warm smile making it's way onto his lips. "It was my pleasure to be able to provide it. Even if the accommodations were likely somewhat humble."

"I'm sure the Crab will be able to provide you with every comfort. They are quite the good hosts, the Governor especially has been very welcoming to me and my crew."

"It was lovely, I have slept in ditches, and do not fuss on such things," she said honestly.

"Oh I love the arts; People showing off their training and passions for us. Or at least, I hope they are passionate about their work. You can kind of tell when someone is putting their all into theater as opposed to just going through the motions, I think. Perhaps it's a side effect of my little problem, that I listen more closely and can tell based on that."

"That is a fair thing, I dont mind the arts so much as a whole I just..." he sort of trailed off and shrugs "these types of high brow Crane things usually bore me to death, depends on the subject matter too I suppose. A good comedy is right up my alley but I'm not a huge fan of romance or dramas most of the time." He explained with a little smile in his lips

Taking an opportunity, as well as a cue from Sanaharu, Yuuwaku proceeds. Approaching Kintaro with a bow, she says, "Doji-sama, have you met tonight's players? I had the pleasure of attending the Academy with Kakita Noritoko and her compatriots. And Kakita-senpai, Doji Kintaro is the diplomatic lead on this endeavor."

It was a bit difficult to answer with the Princess being so humble but the Captain did manage. "We will take every precaution to insure it is so and move at the greatest speed the winds will take us." Having Minari aboard would certainly garuntee that.

"It is the least we can do after all given the circumstances." There was likely more he wished to say but some of it just shouldn't be spoken in such a open venue. Still he didn't wish to just leave it at that. So pulling out his fan he opened it and started gently fannign himself, using the motion to help prevent any from reading his lips. "I also should add you are welcoem on my ship any time, even if jst as an excuse to get away from all this for a while. If that is ever your wish."

He looks at the ground briefly, then asks quietly, "How was your conversation with Tsuruchi-sama?" The Crane's tone suggests he would call the man something else in different company.

"Of Course Oturi-Denka." The Mantis replied with a deep bow, leaving the soon to be Empress to her own devices for the evening.

He offered his shoulder for the Otomo to lean on.

"Excellent," he says, not quite convincingly, but he's clearly not upset. In a quieter voice he admits, "He and I have had words, but I am pleased he's behaving himself."

You know how you could make him get mad at you... tell you were drinking with the Tsuruchi and the Otomo last night. That would be an owl.

She glared at the falcon on the tree. "He is teasing me again."

Masao gives the bird a short stare, then turns back to Hanatsuko. "You'll have to tell him that he's not going to stay my friend if he's being mean to you. It's my job to protect people, and I'm very serious about it." He smiles at her, his head cocked to the side, seeing if she's angry with him.

Daichi chuckles "Well here things are pretty slow. Nothing interesting happens here honestly. At least nothing did the whole time I was growing up. The Wall is a bit of a different story, there it was long cycles of boring easy kills peppered with actual life or death battles. Its a little nerve wracking to be honest. Just waiting around to see if you were going to face some blighted horror or just pick off some goblins that wandered too far north."
