[D2 - MA] What you Leave Behind, Future Awaits (Open)

After waking up from a rather bad night, which also was interrupted in the middle of the sleep by the Kuni, Amika managed to get some rest, yet she still felt a bit sleepy, even though she truly had woken up quite late.

She grabs her painting equipment, including her brushes vials of ink. She was going to paint a request from the Scorpion clan, or rather from an individual from that Clan, Bayushi Shitoru.

This was supposedly to be a gift to the groom, which by the request specifications must be a piece that reminds him of his home once he becomes a Crane. It was a strange request but Amika was not there to judge.

She walks towards the outlying farms with one thing in mind, to find and advantageous somewhat elevated point from where she could gain a great visual perspective of the country side, but also of the castle, village and other points of interest of this province.

Indeed she found an ideal place. With multiple farmlands but also where she could get all those interesting marker points that she wanted for the piece of art.

She decided for her specialty, sumi-e, for this piece, and she also had a certain idea for the general baselines that could be modified later if she felt that some other things could be needed....

With a nice location and good natural light, Amika started to paint. She started to press the black ink into the scroll, varying the strength of the brush as she created the first strokes.

First a general landscape of the fields with the Castle and village on the background, with the general natural features that surrounded the area with a bit of Amika's own interpretation. She wanted to create a rather emotional piece of art for this gift so, while she gave her own vision to the painting she tried to be as objective as possible in this work...

[Dapper Dog]

Four samurai approach the ronin, one astride a Rokugani pony. Two large Hida woman and a man with white paint on his face. The fourth was an older man with the mon of Hiruma upon his light armor.

“Ronin, or should I say witch? Can… I call you… witch? Is that too familiar? How about witch-chan? “ the rider said as he approached.

“I have questions, oh… so… many… questions,” he finished.

[Amika]

Amika looked at first confused. Witch? why this samurai was calling her that. Same that Daidoji Kio said to her, but she was a child, this was a full grown samurai.

In any case, Amika gets up from the place where she was quietly drawing and then proceeded to bow to the crab samurai.

'' Hmmm, sure, Hida-sama, Hiruma-sama, Kuni-sama...'' She bowed very low towards them. She was not sure if the samurai with paint on the face was a Kuni but she assumed it was one. '' This one name is Amika, hope you all had Inari-no-kami blessings today.'' She politely said to them.

[Dapper Dog]

“Good, you’re not one of them tough girl ronin. This will make this easier. See I have a fever and the only cure is the truth! Now work with me, every time I ask you a question and you tell me straight, I get happier,” he said gesturing to his smile.

“But if you lie to me, I get sad, and every time I get sad the girls here are going to beat you. Until I get happy again. So, let’s start with an easy one, were you, or were you not at the Hole last night?”

[Amika]

This was dangerous. These people seem dangerous and they were now menacing her for... Amika was not sure why. Perhaps they hated ronin, which could be true but nonetheless, operating like this in public was certainly not a good look.

'' This one did. This one did went to that establishment.'' She noded telling him the truth.

"Very good, very good. Kuni-san administer a test while she answers my next riddle. Did you say anything to Hida Yoji during your time at the Hole?" he asked.

Meanwhile the Kuni priest approached drawing a keen knife and said, "I need your hand."

[Amika]

'' This one will answer your question, but this one will not allow you to take blood from her, Minna-sama, that is wrong and impure thing to do...'' Amika was kind, but she was not stupid. Drawing blood was not something that people did normally, blood was seem as impure and drawing her blood seems off. Her hand did touch the hilt of her katana when the Kuni approached, though she was certain that she did not have a chance against 4 people if they really tried to harm her...

'' This one indeed said something to Hida Yoji-sama, Investigator-sama. As it was proper for people to give some encouraging words to the groom. There are several witnesses that saw this one do that during the night...'' She again, told the truth.

“I place my odds on my friends here, you either submit here to the Kuni or we drag you before Fuboshi-dono and she will be far less merciful. Someone threatened her son, if you want me to think it isn’t you, then you will have your blood tested. Or you can die in this field and left in the ditch for the crows, your choice,” he offered.

[Amika]

Amika thought for a moment, '' Blood tested? '' She said wondering why he said those words. Maybe it was a similar thing that she was tested by Takeshi.

'' Investigator-sama, if you think that this one could threaten Hida Yoji-sama, or if this one has done something ill against him then i will gladly submit to an investigation, like you said, by Hida Fuboshi-dono. You will not need to drag me, i will submit voluntarily in order to explain this one's actions, if she is less merciful than you, so be it, it is not this one's place to judge how Hida Fuboshi-dono is...'' She said bowing to the investigator.

'' This one has met multiple members of your estemeed clan, including Kuni Takeshi-sama and several other members of that family that awoke me today. Kuni Takeshi-sama, this one thinks, was also was suspicious about me and made me touch some jade pendant he had for some reason. If there is a legitimate threat to Hida Yoji-sama, and your clan thinks that this one is suspicious, then i will gladly submit to further investigations but under proper circumstances...'' She looked around, going after her in a field was certainly not proper. '' This one has nothing but respect for your clan and its currently even working in a mural to show her devotion to what you do to fulfill your duties...''

'' You don't need to kill this one, or harm her. If Hida Fubushi-dono finds that this one has done some ill to Hida Yoji-sama then this one will accept her fate...'' She adds to her little speech trying to convince him to make his case to the governor herself.

"By the Kami you drone on like a Crane, fine. Back to the Castle," he commanded.

The Hida wait for her to start moving and the Kuni watches warily.
