"Oh, so you were a shugenja first trained by the Yogo, and then married in the Crab? How uncommon. Clans are usually so against marrying their priests away, since they are so rare..."

"Both the Scorpion, and the Phoenix have a long tradition of marrying their priests out quite commonly. The Phoenix have never claimed to be short on Shugenja though, and the Scorpion like to do it for strategic reasons."

"Which one you would be from, Hiruma-san, if I may ask?" He questions. "I did get surprised at first. Compared to your clansmate bushi, you showed much more talent on the ways of Doji."

He smiles under his mask "I trained with the Scorpion, I have the manners of a Scorpion, and I wear a mask like a Scorpion. Maybe as a Soshi I have been to subtle in hiding my origins?"

He looks at his mask and smiles slightly, lowering his head to a closed fan. "Sometimes... My perception fails me. Have you been raised in the Sands, by your name?"

"I was born in the sands, my parents returned from exile before I learned to walk, or speak."
