In-House Cleaning [Day 6, Early Afternoon]

[Dapper Dog]

"Alright, not sure of your business but if you follow the path and then turn and follow the stream you should find an old cabin. Best be armed if you do," she responded.

"You got an hour or so of walking ahead of you if you mean to find the place."

[Yoko]

"Not the type to care for visitors then, I take it?" she said, a half chuckle. Shaking her head and putting up her hand, "But thanks, really."

[Dapper Dog]

The peasant nodded and got back to her task.

[Yoko]

Yoko offered a quick smile and then started off, giving a small whistle as she did so to call back Yue's attention, wherever she was.

Seemed it was time to try and earn a little more respectability to the name.

[Yue]

It didn't take long for Yue to appear and she made her way quickly to where Yoko first. She stalked forward at first before emerging from some bushes once she saw that there was no danger and made her way over to where Yoko was. After brushing some hair from her forehead, she gave her a small nod. "So, what did she say?"

[Yoko]

"Not too much, but I got a direction and it'll take some time. Follow the oath and then follow the stream. From way I figure, most folk don't tend to have 'be armed' warnings associated with 'em, so," she shrugged.

"What do you think?"

[Yue]

"The mark is as dangerous as a bear, at least," she nodded, "I guess he either doesn't take to visitors kindly or we might not even be the first. That's fine with me. We could give it some time and check the place out before going in, or we could go now if time is of the essence. Kind of depends on if this is time sensitive and the information is only good now, not later."

[Yoko]

"Don't think it is, least.. less he starts getting friendly with folk. Only worry is if he's an active sort of nuisance, eh? Could be good to take a look though," she crossed her arms, furrowed her brow and thought.

Yoko shook her head, "Better to maybe not rush into it. We know where he is, eh? Can head out there when we're good and ready."

[OOC: Figure waiting is best given the timeframe. Close to day end and all.]

[Yue]

Yue looked a touch disappointed by this prospect but had to agree that Yoko was probably right in that regard. There was no point of running head first into danger without a good sense of what they could be up against. She was ready now but she wasn't going to be less ready later. "When are you thinking? And how?"

[Yoko]

"Figure we walk up.. I say hi and you watch my back," she threw her thumb over her shoulder. "Just like we did right then. Be sure to keep in ear-shot, I'll exchange some words with him and we'll work from there. Won't kill the man without giving him a chance to speak, I figure," she suggested but there was a tug there, a touch of hesitancy perhaps.

[Yue]

Yue gave her incredulous look for a moment and nodded in acceptance. "Okay...what do you think he'll say? And what are you hoping he'll say in his defence?" she asked her, genuinely curious about her response.

[Yoko]

"No idea," she shrugged, "but.. well, guess killing a man without him knowing why wouldn't sit with me, eh? One last chance to prove everything wrong?" Yoko shrugged. "Don't got any good reason to say for it other than it wouldn't feel right."

[Yue]

Yue gave a glance of her surroundings, not so much to gather her ideas but really more to see if anyone else was around.

"Yoko-san..." she addressed her carefully at first as she turned to look back at her, "have you considered that maybe it's better to kill someone without knowing anything? I suppose, other than what we've been told. People tend to have all sorts of stories and reasons, everyone has a reason to live and they will tell you if given the chance. Everyone wants to live. We might end up without a job, or worse, he'll turn on us."

[Yoko]

"Better for who?" she asked, her lip curled into a half-smirk. Looking to Yue she gave a little rise, a shrug of her shoulders as she slipped one hand onto her hip and the other with her thumb in her obi. "Me? Safer, maybe.. better for my conscience to take what people say as the truth?" she shook her head.

"If he turns on us, I'll be ready. My mother trained me well," she smiled, shook her head. "I'm counting on it even. With you nearby to back me up I trust we'll make it out alright. Just" -she stepped forward so she was closer, looked down as she was just a little bit taller- "trust me when I promise that you won't walk away from this at a cost because of my conscience. We stick together, we keep each others back, we'll walk away from this with our heads held high and maybe some extra coin, eh?"

[Yue]

Yue almost stepped back when Yoko placed herself closer to her personal space. However, she did manage to stay firm and look up as Yoko spoke her stance.

She looked unsure at first but soon agreed with a few nods as her expression softened. "Alright, we'll do things your way, Yoko-san. I don't have any issues with it but I just wanted to you to be...sure, at least. And you do sound like you're pretty sure, so let's just do that."

[Yoko]

Yue's response still brought her to smile a little, shaking her head, "Sorry," her voice was quiet, earnest in it's apology, and then she stepped back.

With a nod, "I am sure though, confident even," she chuckled and shook her head. Giving a quick nod toward the village, "Ready to head back then?"

[Yue]

Yue blinked at her and scratched the back of her neck, wondering what was that all about and what brought on the smile. She shook her head on the matter and shrugged, "Oh...don't worry about it. I figured that you asked me so I should ask you some questions in return. Anyway, yeah, I'm ready to head on back now."

She unstrung her bow and nodded for Yoko to lead the way.

[Yoko]

Yoko gave a quick nod, and then surely lead the way back toward down. Walking with hand on her blade as to keep it steady given her gait.
