Better now then later. (Day 6 Mid Afternoon)

Well, it was a bit unexpected but it seemed his ship would be housing a Princess on her return home to the Capital. Which was not something he had been prepared for...

He'd need to move back out of his cabin at the very least, and move Katsu and Minari out of there's. They'd have to take on extra water as well as fresh food and prepare meals everyday.

The ship would also need a thorough cleaning, which us what was happening now. Had been happening for the last few hours honestly. The Sea Fox may not be the pride of the Mantis Navy, but she'd try and look the part. Even if it might take a few days since the rain meant the cleaning was mostly done below decks. Which was currently where the Captain could be found.

Theres the sound of bouncing on wood as a Moshi hops down the stairs into the hold, pausing to let her eyes adjust to the darkness before continuing on until she spots the captain

“Captain-sama!.... Umm. I feel like I missed a lot. I was at Sen’s place for a couple days... Um... being diplomatic. And now there’s lots of politics happening?!?!?”

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Yes." Shouji offered with an amused smile on his lips. "It's a new day and one that doesn't have you mystically back in your Hammock." He confirmed.

"But yes, there has been both terrible and joyous news today. Our Empress Oturi the first has passed from this realm." He offered solemnly.

"Leaving behind her successor to the throne, her daughter Oturi Yuahime." He continued. "Who we will be taking to the Capital at top speed after this wedding concludes."

[Moshi Meiko]

"Yes." Shouji offered with an amused smile on his lips. "It's a new day and one that doesn't have you mystically back in your Hammock." He confirmed.

“.....Wait what?!?!?”
Meiko bounces around the hold and off the various pieces of cargo, her mouth struggling to keep pace with her thoughts.

“The empress is gone? Her heir is on the boat? How? Why? Is she safe? Are we happy? Am I her cultural attaché now? How do you do things for someone that important...”
Lowering her voice
“Is she even nice?”

"It's a lot if moving parts, I must admit." Shouji replied with a soft smile. "But yes, a Miya came to the Castle today and made that announcement earlier today. Both announcements." He added a moment later.

"Our illustrious Empress has passed from this world." He offered solemnly. "As for the Heiress, yes she stayed here last night. Though she may move into the Castle for the next few nights."

"To your questions though, yes." He lowered his own voice. "She seemed quite nice from the little time I have managed to spend with her."

"As to the other, you will do what you can for our illustrious guest, and the other members of her retinue." He turned his eyes towards the ship. "Which may not be much, but we will manage what we can."

[Moshi Meiko]

“We have to change everything. I don’t even know what the protocols are!”
the Moshi jumped up and down on one foot, thinking furiously
“Maybe if we pool everyone else’s luxuries we will have enough for her. What does she like to eat? We need to make some purchases soon... and maybe a new chef too.”

At least she sounded nice, that was something.
“What about security? We need to make sure she’s safe too, bad people are always trying to hurt the son or daughter of heaven.”

[Kitsuki Naida]

Arriving back at the boat (did it count as being here yesterday or three days ago?), Naida introduced herself and was let on. Apparently the crew knew who she was and took her right to the captain.

She found him with the bouncy Moshi from the party, "Ah, good afternoon Moshi-san, Tsuruchi-sama. I hope I am not interrupting anything."

“We have to change everything. I don’t even know what the protocols are!”
the Moshi jumped up and down on one foot, thinking furiously
“Maybe if we pool everyone else’s luxuries we will have enough for her. What does she like to eat? We need to make some purchases soon... and maybe a new chef too.”

At least she sounded nice, that was something.
“What about security? We need to make sure she’s safe too, bad people are always trying to hurt the son or daughter of heaven.”

"I don't think we need to worry about luxuries too much. She just finished her Musha Shugyo. I don't lmknow if she will be seeking such things immediately. As for what she likes to wheat, I suppose I could ask her. Unless you prefer to."

Security was another matter and he nodded. "I'll go over that with Ikeda Hiro-sama. He is the first sword of the Ikeda from my understanding and tasked with her protection. We will of course do what we can to help though."

Further conversation was brought to an end as Naida arrived and Shoujj turned to offer the woman a bright smile. "Just working through some of the hurdles of our next venture." The Captain replied with a warm smile at the beautiful Dragon.

"It's going to be an interesting voyage we have ahead of us." He looked her over for a moment. "It's not conversation that needs to be finished now though." In fact Meiko could probably use something to calm here down. "It's a pleasure to see you again Kitsuki-san."
