[Day 7 - MA] The Real Hunt

[Dapper Dog]

The boar squealed with rage at the attack but was still knocked prone from the blow.

OOC: The boar is prone and suffers 16 wounds.

As the boar crashes to a halt, the Iron Warrior steps forward to purposefully strike away from the head, aiming to snap its back.

[Hida Fuboshi]

Fuboshi threw her spear and it stuck into the side of the boar but the beast did not seem shaken by the puncturing strike. She quickly drew her blade, and narrowed her one good eye.

OOC: The boar suffered 6 more wounds, now at 22 wounds. Fuboshi hit with her spear but did not do enough damage to over come the Reduction. Used a Free Action to draw her Katana.

The Ichiro raises his Ono again, trying his best to place great strength on the blow, but the Boar moves right when he drops the axe.

With a grunt of frustration, he raises the Ono again and takes a few steps back.

The boar got to its feet and then looking at the arrayed attackers decided that for the moment it was where it wanted to be.

OOC: Defense Stance, simple action to get to it’s feet, ATN is currently 23.

Seeing Fuboshi draw her katana, and disappointed that his dai tsuchi hadn't made more impression on the beast, the Crane resolves to fight in his style: smarter, not harder. For the moment he changes weapons and stares at the boar, anticipating its movements and looking for the right opportunity to strike.

[Hida Fuboshi]

Fuboshi’s blade was keen as she saw the Iron Warrior moving to give her cover she threw herself recklessly at the creature with two savage but well-practiced strikes the first delivered with great ferocity while the second was just for good measure to the mighty boar.

OOC: The boar has suffered 69 wounds but is still up for the moment. Fuboshi is in Full Attack stance, and used two simple actions to attack.

As he sees Fuboshi throw herself on the boar and cut it twice for great effect, and the animal still up, but by now probably very hurt, he throws himself forward as well, raising the Ono again in a large arc, then letting it fall down mightily - only, this time, not in his usual style, but rather taking great efforts to aim right at the beast's neck, attempting to neatly cut off its head, giving it a respectful, clean death - and the group a nice prize to carry back.

The strike seems perfectly guided, and he waits...

[Ichiro Taiki]

Having felled the Boar, Taiki draws his Ono back to himself, cleaning some of the creature's blood on the ground as he can. Although clearly excited with the successful hunt, he lowers his head for a moment and whispers a prayer for the Fortunes of Nature and Animals for their bounty and for the kill.

Seeing the Toritaka looking around, he remembers the Boar could have had company that they were unaware of, and tries to look around for any signs...

.. if there is, he's way too distracted to see anything. So, blissfully unaware of any company (or any boar family tragedy he might have caused) he closes his eyes again and finishes his short prayer.

Finishing his prayer, the Badger raises his head and turns his eyes first to Fuboshi and the Kakita, then to the Falcon.

"Ach... " He sighs, maybe slightly frustrated with himself, but his eyes are serious and trustful as he looks at the Falcon girl. Then, in a lower voice, almost whispering. "Wha' do ye sense, Toritaka-san?"

"Well if it wants to live, it best make itself known," Fuboshi said as she cleaned her blade.

Taiki nods to Fuboshi, trying to make little noise, keeping the Ono by his side and waiting for the Falcon's words to decide on what to do.

She hushed the people as she moved to the low Bush where the piglet walked about. The woman smiled. "Come on little guy don't be shy." She beaconed the piglet to follow her.

The piglet is reluctant but seeing she means no harm it comes out to see what this two legged thing and if it has any food.

"Does someone has any rations?... I don't want silly Kuma to regurgitate his lunch." She asked to the group.

[Hida Fuboshi]

Fuboshi blew a horn to summon the peasants and said, "See if the lowborn have anything for the runt."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Yes, Hida sama." She tried to pat the piglet's head. She picked some berries from the nearby bush. "Come on little guy, here you go." She looked at the Badger and the Crane. "He is such a sweetheart... I wonder... if we can train it."
