Nothing Inappropriate (Day 4 Early Evening)

[Aji]

"Well what have you experienced?" she asked.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I believe I met the shade of Hida Gusari on my ship." He admitted after a few moments. "At least he seemed to be as he talked about his battles with Daidoji Bujeihime as we played go on a board that disappeared."

He paused frowning for a moment. "He seemed to consider me a friend fir some reason."

"There is another thing as well, though it's even less believable."

[Aji]

“Apologies samurai-sama, think you mean Doji Bujeihime if you are speaking about Hida Gusari. Interesting though, perhaps the spirit was reliving a moment of time,” she said with interest.

“May this humble nun ask what this less believable thing is that bother you?”

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Ah, it must be my own misunderstanding." He offered, with a nod. He had thought she was a Daidoji since she was related to Yushoko.

"But perhaps so, I thought the spirits reliving of a moment of time might be related to my own problem...." He admitted before adding. "Which is one my companion shares in reliving a day that has already passed. Like I woke after sleeping just to start the same day all over again."

[Aji]

"Your own problem?" she asked. She let the day repeating go for now.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"The repeating days." He offered in explanation. "I thought the ghosts might be related to them. So I was looking into the legends about them to look for clues."

"Though I do suppose I also have a sea monster problem."

[Aji]

"Well the days are repeating and I am elated to see that you have noticed that," she said calmly.

"Less pleased about the sea monster."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Has it just been just the once, or has it been endless others and today is the first I noticed?" He asked the nun. Maybe she knew more about this then he did?

"As for the sea monster, it's a great beast with many eyes, and I'll need to find a way to kill it or scare it away." His lips moved into a line. "Unfortunately I have many things I need to do and little time."

[Aji]

"The Crab are good at killing monsters," she said proudly.

"I do believe this is the first day to repeat and if history stands to reason this will last two more days."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He blinked at that. It was a useful piece of information if it proved true. "This has happened before then?" Shouldn't that be the type of thing someone lists in the visitors guide?

[Aji]

"No one recalls the events, even when people went missing they were simply forgotten," she responded.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Thats disconcerting." Shouji replied after a moment. "Has it been something occurring for long?"

[Aji]

"My guess is for the last century, but only about every ten or so years," she responded.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I see." He frowned. "Any clue on why it might happen?" Maybe something to do with the spirits? Who knows.

[Aji]

"My guess is something with the Hida Gusari and Doji Bujeihime, but now there is mention of a child. So it seems there is more to the mystery," she offered.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Could you tell me what you know of those two then? I've only heard a bit. Like the two had fought for years around the area, and the supposedly did here."

The mention of a child was interesting but it could wait for now.

[Aji]

“Correct they were rivals for many years and fought in many battles. The legends say that they had a final duel on the sands below and both died that day. Their descendants are now to be married soon,” she responded.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He nodded. "I've heard as much, though if this happens every ten years, that marriage may have nothing to do with this." Unless it was some way to bring peace to the ghosts?

"I'll have to see what more I may be able to find out." Two more days wasn't much time for it though.

[Aji]

"Agreed, the marriage is most likely coincidence," she agreed.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Though perhaps the spirits move in ways to prevent the union? " He had heard talk of witches after all.

"Either way, thank you for the information. I have much to think about."

[Aji]

"May you find the path forward, Captain," she said with a smile.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Thank you." He nods towards the monk then turns back towards the Imperial. Moving to lead the young woman back to his ship.
