Advice Perhaps (day 4 Mid Afternoon)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji wasn't exactly sure why he had thought to find Otomo Yusuke, perhaps it was somethign the man had said on their voyage. Walking to the valley of the Centipede twice but not taking the same path. Like the Valley really hadn't been in the same place. It had seemed silly at the time, but that was before the day had repeated itself.

Of course the man might not even notice, in which case they could always chat about other prospects liek marriage. That wasn't a thought for now though. Arriving at the Castle, he waved to a servant, asking to be escorted to Yusuke's room, if indeed that was where he was. who knows he could be bathing at this hour.

[Otomo Yusuke]

Yusuke was seated inside doing bonsai with the beautiful Scorpion he met a few days before… whenever that was.

He smiled and said, “Captain, come in, come in! Have you met Bayushi Ijihime?”

[Bayushi Ijihime]

Ijihime rose and bowed politely.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Yes, we spoke at the festival the other day." Shouji replied as he stepped into the room and offered the pair a bow and a smile. "She is an enchanting woman, if you don't mind me saying so."

He glanced towards the woman before turning his eyes back towards the Otomo. "But I hope I'm not interrupting?" He motioned to the Bonsai.

[Otomo Yusuke]

"Please join us, do you enjoy bonsai?" he asked.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He moved over to take a seat. "To be honest I've never tried my hand at it." It had always more work then what he thought he had time for.

"From what I understand, becoming a Master takes much patience and skill."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"It does... lots of repetition," he said kindly.

"I absolutely hate it, but I find it teaches me patience."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"A lot of repetition... Much like today." The Captain observed with a thoughtful expression.

"Patience is a virtue though, and one i could use practice with myself." His lips cracked into a smile and he chuckled. "Still, it's amusing to hear how much you hate Bonsai."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"It's tedious and takes forever to get the results you want," he said with a laugh.

"But you didn't come here to hear me complain, at least I hope you didn't."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"No." He replied with a soft chuckle. "I came to ask you a bit about repetition. Or maybe just oddities as you might think of them. Like a Valley that might move, or might not."

The Captain paused for a moment before adding. "Or if you think days might repeat themselves."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"I mean I have spent many long days in the Imperial bureaucracy... and those days seemed to never end but this sounds rather specific," he said.

"Speak your mind, Captain."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"You will likely think I'm rather mad." He offered with a half smile.

"But it's almost like I feel like I'm repeating yesterday today." He offered after a moment. "I's kind of hard to explain. But I distinctly remember being woken two days in a row to a report that one of my men was missing. The same man, both days. I'm preparing for a party I have planned today with the same sake I swore I drunk yesterday" He nodded to the lovely Scorpion woman. "Bayushi-sama even attended, though we did not have much chance to talk."

"It's quite the confusing affair, and honestly I had little idea on who to consult on this matter. Then the comment you made about a moving Valley came to my mind."

[Bayushi Ijihime]

Ijihime said, "That is curious."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"I told you! I told you Bayushi-san, I told you we did this yesterday!" Yusuke said with relief.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Yes." The Captain replied with a smile towards the Bayushi. "And if you make it out again tonight, I'll nake certain we get a chance to talk."

The Otomo's reaction was one that brought relief to the Captain and he relaxed a little at the other man's words. "Repeating your work on the Bonsai, must be doubly annoying knowing that Otomo-sama." The young man offered wwith a small chuckle.

"But I suppose knowing still leaves us with the question of why."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"Why indeed, why indeed, or even how long have we been living this day," he offered.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He blinked at that. Not everyone seemed to recall, and it did leave the possibility that this had been going on for longer then he had imagined.

"That's an excellent question. I thought perhaps it might have something to do with the ghost I saw well later today, or yesterday, or however you want to call it."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"Indeed, what did you see?" he asked curiously as he snipped at the tree.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Hida Gusari" The young man admitted. "He was chatting to me about his coming battle with Daidoji Bujeihime."

A frown made it's way onto his lips. "They apparently had a battle along the beach near here where both of them died."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"The ancestors of Hida Yoji and Daidoji Yushoka, how curious. I suspect they are tied to this... situation," he said as he snipped.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"That would make sense." He agree after a moment. The Captain hadn't known all of that either, so it was a piece at least that made sense to him.

"The blood of the two together in the same place, drawing restless spirits closer together? Or Somethign like that? I think I will have to consult more priests if I want to make it out of this."

[Otomo Yusuke]

"Likewise, but why do only some of us remember the day that was not," he responded.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"That's... I don't know." Honestly this made no sense at all to him.

"It is rather odd." He glanced towards the Scorpion. "You don't remember anything of yesterday, or rather the last thing you recall is the day of the festival?"

[Bayushi Ijihime]

Ijihime nodded an said, "I do not recall this phantom day."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Did you notice anything odd at the festival day perhaps? Anything out of sorts?" Maybe there was something there.

"Or maybe you came across something odd yesterday, Otomo-sama?"
