"Fine. But, if I'm not overstepping by asking, what of your own path then? If you didn't intend to act as the courtier in chief, I guess you came here for another reason?"

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

"I have been in the Dragon lands for much of my life." Tanaka bobbed her head, "I sought a posting away from the homeland, what better way to actually see the lands beyond the mountains then walk to the opposite end of the Empire?"

"I admit...I expected to just be one of a few courtiers, but I suppose there may have been more postings then people to fill them."

[Doji Yuma]

"I'm sure you will do a fine job even if the job did take you by surprise. In the same way a warrior does not forget their training with the blade when ambushed, a courtier does not lose their words when suddenly alone before the dais.

Do you know of your next mission after this one? If so, will you stay in the region, go back, or keep traveling the Empire?"

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

"I will be here for awhile, if I have no word from home I will just continue my journey. Perhaps into the east and the lands of the Unicorn? Or perhaps I will receive some new directive and find myself at permanent station somewhere."

[Doji Yuma]

"For a while? The wedding should take place in barely a week. Oh, maybe you have other business to attend in the region? Would make sense, you didn't travel so much for a quick meet and greet.

On the other hand I think most of the Crane delegation will return to Crane lands soon after the ceremony."

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

"Well to cross from Crab to Crane is far easier then from Crab to Dragon." Tanaka chuckles at that, "But yes I will linger long enough to see if any missives were sent for me from the Dragon, then decide on a new destination and send word home."
