He made notes of everything that was said.

"Things are starting to make sense - the voice that Hida Yoji heard, what Torikata-san heard, you've been a fantastic help, Aji-san. I think this might just be the start of unravelling what is going on."

"What happened to Hida-sama?" she asked.

"Something - he couldn't find or see it afterwards, said 'The mountain shall fall to the Crane.' We have no plans with this village besides making sure the wedding goes well."

"My word, I shall pray for him and his family," she said with concern.

"Perhaps we should also pray for the spirit, if it is the missing girl, so she can find peace."

"A lost child... tsk, tsk, she will have my prayers of course," she responded.

"Thank you. We'll likely need every prayer we can get."

The nun bowed and waited to see if there was anything else they needed of her. It would be morning soon.
