[D1, LE: Expecting] Mistaken for a Nice Guy

[Amika]

'' Really?'' Amika sounds interested. '' What a fascinating expression of art. Indeed it must be quite spectacle to seen and an honor to be invited to watch and be a participant of it, Bayushi Shitoru-sama.'' She nods. Amika now understood a little bit about how the Shosuro became such good actors.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"This one has not made the journey as yet, but if matters allow it is a plan for the future", Shitoru said. "As well as the capital, seeing this village you spoke of would be good fortune." Another gyoza somehow vanished into his mask, never to be seen again. "Though, tell me good Amika-san, what has carried you so far from there in travel? Otosan Uichi and it's hub villages are countless steps from Crab lands."

[Amika]

'' Adventure? Looking for something for myself instead of just following my blessed mother's shadow? '' Amika replied, while wondering. '' To be sincere, Bayushi Shitoru-sama, this one doesn't really know, but what i know is that this one is looking something for herself.'' She adds.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"To carve one's own destiny is both an ambitious notion, and an invitation to the fortunes to show you what they are truly made of", he chuckled slightly at that. "Ever have I been told to take care when leaving my mark, as it oft runs deeper than one means it to."

[Amika]

'' I guess so, Bayushi Shitoru-sama. Though who knows if the fortunes pay attention to people like me. Maybe, though i'm not a priest nor have knowledge about such topics.'' She adds.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"They are watchful, and have done so since before the kami fell if legends are to believed", he offered. "If it be true, then their eyes are upon you the same as any other, one should think." He smiled, it made his mask shift. "Lady Benten, for instance, watches all young ladies. Do your best."

[Amika]

Amika listened intently to the Scorpion's words '' Really? Well perhaps this one should ask a priest or a monk around these lands about such topics. But nonetheless it is encouraging to hear this explanation from you, Bayushi Shitoru-sama''

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"If it please you, then learn as much as a monk can teach", he nodded. "Though I'm curious, Amika-san, are you knowledgeable of other wave wanderers?"

[Amika]

'' You mean if there is any other here right now, Bayushi Shitoru-sama?'' She asked. '' Not that i know of. I mean, i'm sure that there must be some going around due to the famous Twenty Head Winter event. The estemeed Crab Clan is always looking for people like us in that regard.''

'' Although winter just passed so, this one is not so sure.'' Amika adds.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Naturally", he agreed. "I ask only because there is a particular ronin who this one crossed paths with, and they have come to this same village. An interesting character, though one lacking in the true ruggedness one expects of a wave wanderer, though she is easily identified by some scars that mar her beauty. Have you heard of this woman?"

[Amika]

'' Hmm...'' Amika thought for a moment, she brought her closed fan towards her chin as if she was trying to remember. '' Oh, right. This one did met someone like as you describe it, Bayushi Shitoru-sama. A ronin by the name Yoko-san.'' She nods. '' Earlier today this one so happens to stumbled upon her on the streets by sheer coincidence.''

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Oh?" he drank his sake. "I recall her having a different name, this ronin had short cropped hair and a well muscled build", he said. "Though I would like to hear of Amika-san's meeting with said ronin. There are so many here it seems. Yourself, the one I mention, another who is a hunter, then this Yoko you mention. All of you women as well."

the Scorpion seemed to be giving things some thought.

[Amika]

'' Hmmm, what to say? Our conversation was quite casual. The Yoko-san i met did indeed have a scar on her cheek, and was blessed by Benten-no-kami so to speak, as her looks were adequate...'' She said in a way in order to keep her On neutral. '' Mostly we talk about why i was here and what i do for a living. She was rather curious about the fact of this one's artistic skills, Bayushi Shitoru-sama''

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"I see", Shitoru had no reason to think it otherwise regardless. "Well, if you do happen across this woman, and can learn anything of her, difficult as it might be for ronin who were not born to such a station, this one would feel much appreciation towards Amika-san."

[Amika]

'' This one will do as you say, Bayushi Shitoru-sama.'' She said with a nod. Then sipped from her cup, slowly finishing the sake and then turning the cup upside down, as a sign that she had enough sake for now...

'' She seemed like a nice person. Although it was difficult for this one to understand some of the things she was talking about.''

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"What strange matters did this ronin speak of?" Shitoru asked curiously.

[Amika]

'' This one does not know. Maybe she might had been drunk, or perhaps her language skills were not the best, so i could not understand some of the things she was talking about, Bayushi Shitoru-sama.''

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Certainly not the woman I speak of, then", he concluded. "The one I met went by Sutorenja", he chuckled slightly at the name. "And though a woman of the waves, was a samurai of great conscience, not the like to babble or drunkenly drawl."

[Amika]

'' I see...'' Amika nods. '' Well if this one heard about some other ronin carrying that name i will tell you Bayushi Shitoru-sama.'' She adds.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Many thanks upon you", he nodded. "And again for your favor in sharing art, and conversation. We shall have to do so again."

[Amika]

'' Of course Bayushi Shitoru-sama. '' She bows to the Scorpion samurai. '' Should you wish to meet again then this one will be available.'' Amika said to the scorpion. '' Thanks for the sake and for this conversation.''
