[Day 1, Late Evening] Headin’ on home

[Yoritomo Koemi]

"Sounds awful," Koemi said, "and probably more dangerous than someone charging in with a spear." She raised a brow. "I'm guessing they can come in fast too, that it'd be hard to outrun them."

[Hiruma Sen]

“Yeah, there’s a reason boar huntin’ is done in groups.” Sen couldn’t help but nod in agreement with Koemi’s assessment. “If you do end up joinin’ us, we can give call outs.”

[Yoritomo Koemi]

"Fair enough. But there must be some that have the skill to do so alone. Or are any who have tried lessons to not try it?"

[Hiruma Sen]

“Get lucky or get smart,” Sen said with a slight shrug. “I know it’s not exactly your cup of tea, but trapping’ a boar to remove its mobility from the equation is how I’d do a solo hunt. Maybe a pit?”

[Yoritomo Koemi]

"I suppose it is a bit of outwitting there, luring one into a trap," Koemi said. "Fighting can be like that too, huh? Instead of just charging in and swinging until one person dies?"

[Hiruma Sen]

“Eh, yeah. Kinda the whole Hiruma thing. When we get into a fight, we like to fight smart. We aren’t as big or strong as a Hida, but we got our own ways.”

Sen looked down at her bag of rice, a slight frown forming as she spoke, “I’m startin’ to feel my arms protestin’. If you want, you can walk back with me to my place if you want to continue the conversation. I wouldn’t mind it one bit.”

"A good balance," Koemi commented in regards to the Hida and the Hiruma pairing. Her own clan had that somewhat with the Yoritomo and the Tsuruchi. Her own family wasn't known for ranged combat but it certainly had its purposes.

"Sure, I don't have anywhere else to go." She gestured for the Hiruma to lead.

[Hiruma Sen]

“Good point. I do like having Hida around.” Sen moved forward, in the direction of the edge of the farmlands. “My place isn’t very big or fancy. But I could pour you some sake or somethin’ for your trouble.”

"Oh, no, that's not necessary. I don't figure I'd be staying long and I'm not really helping you at all, am I?"

[Hiruma Sen]

“Eh? But you’re a guest. Gotta be hospitable for a guest.” Sen glanced over at the Mantis with brows raised.

[Yoritomo Koemi]

"Maybe if I was staying for the evening," she said, not even thinking about the connotation that invoked. "But no, just a quick stop by and then back to the ship for me."

[Hiruma Sen]

“Eh, suit yourself, Yoritomo-san.” Sen continued to lead the way towards the edge of the farmlands. It didn’t take very long for the small samurai home to appear off in the distance. “So, actually got a tour of that ship earlier.”

"You were aboard The Sea Fox?" Koemi asked, a bit surprised. Even after all the time aboard that vessel, she was still acclimating to having outsiders aboard. Her old assignment only took people on with the express purpose of capture and execution. "What did you think?"
