[Day 1 - MM] No Wolves Allowed [Limited Event]

"I look forward to seeing the truth for myself," she said warmly. "I will do my best to protect you, if that is your true wish, Ikoma-sama."

Ren thoughtfully appraises the woman. "I think it might be for the best. My word is in place to vouch for you. I see symmetry in a similar tie for the occasion." Ren chuckles. "And well, those guards were right about one thing: that looks like a very well maintained blade."

[Sutorenja]

The blade is very well maintained and has tell-tale signs of construction in a Lion forge, but the hilt is the interesting part as it looks newer and well maintained. The saya is a reddish brown and well-polished. Her clothes are what one would expect of a ronin, but the weapons are… high quality.

She just shrugged and said, "A ronin lives or dies by their sword."

[Ikoma Ren]

Studies studies the weapon and equipment carefully, putting it to memory later. There might be a time to ask about it, but it doesn't feel like this is it.

"Fair enough. What does bring you here Sutorenja-san? I wasn't lying before about being here to make merry, as strange it might sound. Lion feels that it needs to show a different side of itself when it can, a different one that most" Ren tilts his head back into the direction of both the guards. "remember. I could understand looking for work, but it seems an interesting time to visit"

“I only heard about the wedding from a Scorpion, I was just planning to visit the Wall, but this seemed a good stop along the way,” she said honestly.

[Ikoma Ren]

"The Wall?" Ren studies the woman, apparently deep in thought. "I suppose it's your personal business what you do afterwards, but in the meanwhile, it won't hurt to have some companions, will it? And if you are protecting me, we ought to share a room as well...if you have no objections"

[Fuzake Hifumi]

For her part, Hifumi walked quietly and listened. She watched the road ahead, curious to see the village.

Sutorenja was not immediately in love with the idea but having a place to sleep was tempting and she said, “I don’t see any issue with this Ikoma-sama. I will do my best to not be a burden to you.”

“Oh and thank you, both of you. This humble ronin is not worthy to have such noble samurai speak on her behalf.”

[Ikoma Ren]

Ren's eyes twinkle a little. "Oh, I have already gotten plenty out of it. Those two from before hated me from the moment they saw me. Their first suspicion of you was a Lion in disguise, sneaking in to stoke old flames. My task is to change such opinions. One never ought to pass up such a chance, and certainly when it has me run into someone so interesting."

He pauses. "Do you have business in the village that will keep you occupied? There is no need for us to miss prior engagements due to this arrangement"

"No I don't think so," she responded.

[Ikoma Ren]

"Excellent." Ren gives his most sincere smile. "Please let me know if anything arises. Ideally, we should keep an eye on each other until things conclude here, neh?"

[Sutorenja]

She looked to the Monkey and then back to the Lion, "If a matter comes up that demands your concern, Ikoma-sama, I will be the first to let you know."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

Hifumi glanced towards the other two. "Should either of you need anything of me, I would be pleased to assist however I can."
