[Day 6 - LM] Miya and You

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Before the announce was made, Saisei opens a smile to Hanatsuko and allows her to guide him out of the courtroom.

It is only a few steps outside of the court that he notices the commotion around the pretty ronin and now heir to the Empire.

Saisei keeps on his path towards the inn.

Aiding the Otomo exit the scene Hanatsuko, followed Saisei get back to the inn. She listened to the commotion and sighed.

Rising, Hifumi turned her eyes to the crowd, watching the reactions of those present.

Yuahime gestured for the Monkey to join her.

[Ichiro Taiki]

Having kept at the side of the crowd for the whole of the Miya Herald's announcement, the Badger felt a small blow at the news of the Empress' passing... and then absolute surprise when he saw the Miya address that Ronin.

He felt there was something going on with all those Ronin. The Ronin gathering(s). And...

... and what? He hadn't really followed it all. But apparently one of the Ronin was actually a crown princess, and now the Empress wanted her as her heir.

And there were other siblings. That... might turn out to be a problem.

Hopefully not...

He looked around, saw the Monkey samurai watching the crowd, saw as Yuahime gestured for Hifumi to join her.

He wasn't close to any of them, so not much he could do at the moment. So... he just kept his eyes open, watching for any odd movements among those present.

Yusuke would have to recalculate his future and quickly. He has an idea of how to do that, but it would require a deadly dance of words and actions. For now he kowtowed as the others did.

Especially any odd movements among the Otomo...

When things continued to develop, she lowered and rose as all the others did around her. Leaning in a little bit, she added, "Well- wasn't the morning I was expecting," she glanced to Shouji with an incredibly cocky smirk. "But it tastes like good drink."

She nodded and approached. "I am at your service."

"Fuzake-san, I just... it is good to have someone I could see as a friend nearby," she said honestly.

Dango was quiet. Holding on tightly to Hifumi's leg.

There was a certain amount of satisfaction to being right and Shouji's eyes had closed for a few moments as he fell to his knees before the new Empress. They opened though as he rose to his feet and glanced for a moment towards Yuahime. A smile making its way onto his lips that the young Empress likely missed.

His gaze moved away though as he started to look for Otomo Yusuke in the crowd. If the older man had moves to make it would start now. "That it does Yoko-san." He agreed, though he didn't look towards her. There were too many other pieces moving at the moment for that.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The was the look he had been expecting, beckoning for zyoko to follow he moved slowly around the room. Not towards Otomo Yusuke though. Instead towards the pair of Ikeda that had been watching matters unfold.

That was in approaching the two was allowed given the new status of Sutorenja and the proximity they had to her.

Yoko naturally followed along, hooking her thumb in her obi as she did so. Her brow quirked, but that was the most she was going to do to ask while they walked.

[Kakita Masao]

Masao didn't understand what this would mean to much of anyone -- he had a flash of wish again that Kitora was here -- but after they had risen he was still standing so close to Otomo Yusuke that he could sense... something.

Hiro glanced to the Captain and said, "Well this was not how I saw this morning going but it changes the dynamic completely. Do you think we should speak with our friend, Otomo-san before he tries to vanish?"

"We can't... well I can't exactly challenge him for something he never did but this could provide us an opportunity."

[Oturi Yuahime]

Yuahime smiled awkwardly at everyone and then said to the Monkey, “Perhaps I should say something? Or go with my first thought and find an exit?”

She added, “Or maybe just smile and nod?”

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"You could do both." she suggested. "I am sure they would understand that you would want to step away to reflect on the information you've received. It is a time of mourning, after all."

“Wise words, and I shall heed them,” she said to the Monkey.

She then addressed the courtyard and said, “Please excuse this one, I have much to reflect on. Hida Fuboshi, please excuse me.”

“Fuzake-san, will you join me?” she asked.

"Of course." she nodded and would follow, watching their surroundings carefully.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Hiro glanced to the Captain and said, "Well this was not how I saw this morning going but it changes the dynamic completely. Do you think we should speak with our friend, Otomo-san before he tries to vanish?"

"We can't... well I can't exactly challenge him for something he never did but this could provide us an opportunity."

"I was wondering your thoughts on the matter, Ikeda-sama." The Captain agreed, pausing to offer a deep bow to Yuahime as she moved to leave.

"He seems out of sorts at the moment but I can't imagine it is something that will linger. So I believe you are correct there in an opportunity here..." He glanced towards the other man to see if he wished to go now or wait for things to settle a little more.

[Dapper Dog]

"Strike while the steel is cooling," he said calmly and made his approach.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji moved to join him, sure Yoko and Ishi would be following along. As they approached he offered a deep bow to the two Crane with Yusuke as well as the man himself.

"A truly auspicious event we have witnessed this day, isn't." He offered in way of greeting to the three.

[Yoko]

For her part Yoko was there right by Shouji's side, if a bit out of the way. Though she glanced to Ishi, a half-smile when she did.

[Kakita Masao]

Having absorbed all that the voice inside his head could share, Masao was not pleased to suddenly see a gaggle of people approaching the Otomo. Still, as a Crane, and someone who can do math, it hardly seems a time to get huffy.

"Good morning, Tsuruchi-sama," he says with rather less feeling, and a more modest bow, than he might otherwise. "Auspicious, surely, though perhaps not for my hope to speak with Otomo-sama just now. But before we speak of that, I don't believe I've formally met your colleagues?"

For the sake, if nothing else, of saving his own face in whatever matter the entourage wanted to address with Yusuke, the Crane politely but firmly insists on time being spent for all the needed introductions. Whoever I'm helping here had better appreciate the time I'm buying with this nonsense.

[Otomo Yusuke]

Yusuke for his part smiled warmly at the interception.
