D5 EA - Organising thoughts [Open][Curse]

[Yoko]

"Are you looking for me," she hears in a whisper.

"Gah, shit," she startles, whipping her head around to look around her, failing to really track the sound she just checked her immediate surroundings again. Putting one hand on her chest to steady her heart a little.

[Hitomi]

"Don't be scared, I am just looking for my mother and father," she whispered, the voice sounding like it is right near her ears but yet she is nowhere.

"But you keep ruining my fun. So let's play a game, which means more the wavewoman or the Imperial?"

[Yoko]

"You're losing your mind Yoko," she says, quietly to herself. Having put her hand on her hip she steadies a little. Still looking around with her eyes as if it would help but a little less wildly.

Feeling the catch in her throat already, the apprehension building, "That doesn't sound like a very fun game.. how about I just help you find your mother and father, huh? Maybe we can play that kinda game instead, I saw her.. I think, your mom? Crane woman.. right?" she chuckles nervously, gripping her side a little.

"I- I don't think she remembers.. when she is, or.. she might not have control like you do?" she says trying to keep herself quiet enough she didn't cause a fuss, still glancing around. "When I saw her she was talking about things that weren't happening.. but, they did right? Something with a battle? I- I don't think she wants to hide from you."

[Kakita Konohamaru]

The meeting organiser clapped his hands together, to gather the attention of the room.

"Thank you all, Minna-san, for coming today. Please give thanks to our hosts for agreeing to host this meeting as well. If we work together, we can bring peace by the end of the day."

"So, what I know so far."

He pulled out his papers and began to give his information.

"The ghost's name is Hitomi. She would be Hida Hitomi if she passed her gempuku. She is supposedly the child of Hida Gusari and Doji Bujeihime. There are two dolls which, according to divination, but be either reunited, destroyed or both. In addition, she has called me, well, father, implying that there is a mother. Whether they must be reunited, destroyed or both is unknown."

He thought on the family point, and realized something - he assumed she'd be a crab because he was a crane, but if the father was a crab, who knows? Maybe the 'mother' was a ronin or some such.

"However, time has passed, so likely the 'mother' has reincarnated onwards. We can't necessarily assume the other is a Crab or Crane."

Moving onto his next paper, he thought of curses.

"There are four 'nights' of the curse, if unbroken. However, we have been reliving the third day. As such, we can't be sure if this is night one of the curse which we relive or the third night in one day. Only certain people remember the previous days, for reasons unknown."

"So as a summary of what I know, we need: Dolls once owned by Hida Gusari and Doji Bujeihime, and to work out whether or not we need to destroy them to let Hitomi find peace. What else do we know?"

He opened up the floor.

"My divination suggested that the schism must be ended." Hifumi shared. "Admittedly, that's still very vague."

It would be dishonorable to say this publicly that the mother was Bujeihime. He would wait to meet privately with the magistrate... but he already should know.

Yue was perhaps happy to go back to mopping until she realized that this meeting might have something more relevant to her than she realized. Unfortunately, she wasn't too big on sharing at the moment. This was especially so when Yoko was doing what she was doing, no need to have everyone turn the inn upside down. However, the lack of response or return made her wonder if the ghost ate her or something similar befell on her...

She meandered over to where Jun was standing, "They didn't seem to mind, especially for being Crane and all..kind of a strange meeting, isn't it?"

When she was sure enough she let herself fall back a little so her back landed up against a flat wall, letting her head back she rested there against the wall. Closing her eyes she whistled sharply and stood there. Dragging Yue's attention with it hopefully. Putting her hand on her chest she felt the beating, trying to find a calm that wasn't quite coming easily.

"I thought they did but I guess they figured they should switch things up around here, especially if they've done the same thing a few days already," she gave the Crane a glance and then back to Jun, "I suppose it's about a local haunting, perhaps tied to a local legend or something that had gone on here relating to the wedding. Would you have any ideas about that?"

Used to getting up from odd positions and needing to move steadily, Naida stepped lightly, still listening to the voices and footsteps of those who had left the room.

A beam fell down from above and narrowly missed the Dragon.

Naida cursed, more having heard the thing come down than really having seen it. The beam! Just like the ronin had... wait, did that mean this beam was going to fall every day as long as it kept playing over and over? ...she would need to remember that, so no one got hurt if they could lift this curse.

The peasant woman smiled, though it did not reach her eyes, and said, “The wedding is a concern for everyone. We just hope that everything goes well and they are happy. The local legend about the Crab and Crane fighting to death on the beach? Think we all heard the tale.”

"Yes..." she said with a frown as she was reminded of that legend. While she would have suggested they should have moved the wedding elsewhere. However, it was likely their hometown or ancestral land. They couldn't move the wedding if they couldn't move the day. "Let's hope everything goes well. Anyway, I think I heard something up..."

Then the beam fell and nearly hit the Dragon. It seemed her efforts didn't cover all possible angles. "Kitsuki-sama!" she cried out before making her way over to see if Naida was fine.

Yoko had stayed where she was all the way up to that point, with her head held back against the wall and finding her calm. Just about the time she found that calm she had she heard the crash and came rushing back around. Seeing as no one was injured she wasn't quite rushing to anything. Leaning against the wall a bit with her shoulder again, giving herself another quick moment. Standing off from the main group, perhaps, but watching all the same.

She can see where the beam had fallen from part of the ceiling supports had rotted through and she also noted muddy wet footprints on the cieling.

They go across the ceiling, down the wall and then across the floor and out the inn, if one was to go in reverse of the way the steps were made.
