Questions or Quandary (Day 5 Late Morning, Sea Fox)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji was in his cabin, cleaning up after his meeting with Ishi and starting to really face the day. There was a bit of dried fish and a cup of water on his table, perhaps some sort of snack.

He had a few things to plan for the day and another few to figure out. This whole mess was a headache to say the least.

A loud creaking sound came from outside the captain's cabin, like someone was rapidly bouncing up and down on the decking outside.

Urgently "Captain-sama, captain-sama! Can I speak with you?"

[Yoritomo Koemi]

Koemi barged in as well, wiping sweat off her brow. "I still haven't found any sign of our missing crewmember," she said. "Who could have done such a thing? The Scorpion wouldn't be so bold to pull off this kind of move, would they?"

He was really starting to wonder what the Scorpion had done to Koemi. Maybe he would need to ask one day. That would have to wait though.

"Sadly the Scorpion weren't involved, Koemi. Meiko told me earlier it was a sea monster of some sort. One that may still be stalking the vessel even now." He gestured towards the young Moshi to enter as well. "Tell her what you know Meiko."

"A sea monster?" Koemi asked, blinking a few times. "Holy shit!"

She coughed, regaining her composure. "How do you know?" She scratched the back of her head. "The kami told you, huh? Is it some servant of the sea angry at us for being at port for too long?"

[Moshi Meiko]

Meiko explains it as best she can. Her theory is it might just be a tainted monster, but whatever it was, it was horrible.
"Ummm, I really had something else to discuss Captain-sama."
The shugenja looks between her two shipmates and bounces once.

"I don't know if it's tainted, but still it's good to keep cautious." He paused for a moment.

"Perhaps you can work on getting a few purchases, pick up some things we can use to appease Suitengu on the off chance we have angered him?"

"We'll need to see to arrangements for a funeral as well." He glanced towards Meiko and smiled. "Something private I assume?"

[Yoritomo Koemi]

"Right, I'll go around the market." Koemi clasped onto her pendant and bowed her head in a silent prayer. Then, she looked to the others and smiled meekly. "Oh, okay, I'll get out of here."

"We can talk more later this day Koemi." The Captain offered his rigger a warm smile. "There are a few tasks I'd like your help with, especially since it seems we'll have to move our gatheriing to this afternoon."

"Would you be available there? Or should I try and make time a bit earlier or after?"

[Moshi Meiko]

"Oh, you don't have to go Koemi-san...but I mean, you'd probably be all horrified and annoyed at me if you don't!"
Meiko vibrates nervously.

"No, I'll just go to the market." Koemi raised a brow at Meiko, much more sinister than she ever intended. "We can talk later, don't you worry."

"Thank you, Koemi." The Captain replied with a smile.

"I appreciate your help."

And as soon as Koemi leaves

Jumping up and down on the spot

"Captain-sama I need your help, how do I seduce someone?"

That caused him to pause. "Are you trying to seduce Hiruma-san?" He asked a few moments later as he moved towards the table, gesturing for the young Moshi to take a seat across from him.

"Or should I maybe not ask names? " He mused a moment later. "I suppose we should start with how far you've gone?"

"Ummm, yes, no names is good!...But if there was a name, you know...it would probably be them. But we're speaking hypothetically, and so hypothetically, it isn't, it's just someone."

The Moshi blinks a few times at the last question
"Um, pretty far. Her house is a ways out of town."

Ah, but meiko was adorable some times and a breath of fresh air.

"YOu shouldn't give clues liek that if you didn't want names involved." He replied his tone teasing.

"I mean what have you done? Held hands? Kissed?" He arched an eyebrow. "More maybe?"

She seemed very proud of that
"But every time we are...you know, maybe thinking of doing more the day resets...every time"

"Maybe you should just start earlier." He replied with an amused smile. "Still congrats on your first kiss, even if some might say it's happened multiple times by now."

"As for seducing someone... Well, I guess you can say you start by setting the mood." He gestured over to the cabniet. "Why don't you get a bottle of sake and a coupel of cups for us, I'll see why I can do to help ya out."

Meiko jumps up and quickly collects the sake and cups before laying out the table
"...And it has happened several times, it was nice each time though!"

"That's good." He offered with a grin. "Does she remember it too every time?"

As Meiko poured the cups he took one for himself leacing her the other. "As I was saying though, when you're being deliberate abotu it, you need to try and create a mood. Maybe you're sitting at a table like we are after dinner or something, sipping on some sake." He brought his cup to his lips and took a sip.

"You meet her eyes and smile." He explained looking towards Meiko's eyes and smiling warmly. "In see how she responds."

Meiko is already smiling back and blushing and her response is slightly delayed
"Hmmm? Oh yes, eye contact, smiling, wait until after dinner."
She makes a mental note.
"And she does remember!..Which is good because otherwise it would be terrible."

He blush spread to the Captain and his cheeks tinged pink for a moment before he got himself under control. "You'll want to try and keep up conversation, maybe leas it if you can. It doesn't really matter what you talk about, you more what to bring attention to yourself. Make the notice parts of you." His tongue darted forth as he licked his lips. "You can lick your lips, maybe brush you hand behind your ear, that sort of thing."

He glanced her way, again letting their eyes meet for another moment. "Of course I'm not expert at this sort of thing, but you can also lead the conversation in a direction that might help you. "Maybe ask Mystery-chan some like." He tilted his head to the side and watched Meiko for a few moments. "I know your a great hunter and trapper, but... Have you ever considered what it might be like to be prey?"
