A Change of Course (Day 4 Early Afternoon)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He had mentioned to Kitsuki Tanaka a meal, and while he hadn't intended for it to be today, but tomorrow . It didn't mean that he was goingbyo back out. Something normal might help him process the day.

So after sending a note to ask the young woman to meet him at the inn around this time he made his way in that direction.

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

Tanaka arrived and clearly something weighed heavy on her mind., "This...was different from yesterday." Was her first comment, "Or at least I do not remember it...and that is unusual for me."

The Kitsuki studies the Mantis intently, "My apologies, I may be babbling about things that make little sense. But may I ask, does today feel like yesterday?"

He looked her over for a few moments, he hadn't been this frank about what happened yesterday with anyone. There was no reason to avoid the answer though.

"In every way I know today is yesterday, Kitsuki-san. Even if I find that hard to believe." His lips moved into a wry smile. "Which was quite distressing as I intended to ask you out tomorrow. Which is also today, and yesterday."

"It seems we narrowly avoided that wait though."

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

"Well in that we have changed yesterday, because I did not meet you then," Tanaka let out a sigh, "But yes, I woke up this morning and everything, everything was the same. I have a good memory...all my items were in the same place, my scrolls were as they where when I awoke yesterday...despite having consulted them before bed that night. The birds were singing the same notes, from the same locations. That is not normal."

"I was worried I was going mad for a while."

"Well, we both could be mad, but that seems unlikely." The Mantis replied with a crooked smile. "The first sign of something off to me was the report of one of my Crew going missing. The same one that disappeared while I was sleeping yesterday."

"Then i noticed other things, like the sake I drank the night before being full again, and the preparations for yesterday ls party still underway." He explained as he beckoned the young woman to follow him. Might as well walk and talk.

And follow Tanaka did, "Then...how would it even be possible?" Her features creased in a deep frown. "Perhaps...this is a matter for the priests. I am only partly learned in...well I am not sure who is truly learned in days repeating but if any it would be a priest or scholar."

She rubbed the crown of her head, "...if it all goes the same there are still people who will need saving tonight. I...wonder if the events are somehow related?"

"Honestly I have no idea who might be an expert on this sort of thing. Neither of my priests seem to have an understanding of it." A scholar may be a good idea though. "I would like to find out the why though, and how to stop it."

"People that will need saving?" The Monkey in the bath had mentioned that as well. "I can't say i know much about that, but two odd happenings may be linked somehow."
