(D4 ME) Asking for Paintings (Closed)

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

The woman sighed once again. "Kuni sama you were right... this might prove to be an imposible task." She turned to the Asahina and nodded. "I just wanted to see a picture of either one... sad."

[Dapper Dog]

"You asked to borrow relics of the Crab, that's a different request than seeing a picture. If you wish to just see a picture, perhaps we can make that happen," she said as she started walking.

"What is it that you are trying to do, or achieve?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

She nodded. "You said that spirits get attached to objects. Perhaps a painting of Gusari sama is such an object." She looked at the falcon on her shoulder then back to the Kuni. "But some think otherwise..."

[Dapper Dog]

"What do others think?" she asked.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Others think that it is stupid for a spirit to get attached to the painting of who they might be searching for." She looked at the falcon then back to the Kuni. "I think if they are attached to set painting it would allow people to try and find descendents of set line perhaps send the spirit back to where it belongs."

[Dapper Dog]

"Well I can show you pictures they are not paintings but... better than nothing," she said.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"This would be much appreciated. Kitsuki-san said that she found a ghost dead of a person long ago. If we get back to her, we can describe and see if the description match."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Thank you Kuni sama, your help is much appreciated." She looked at the Asahina. "Can you do rough sketches? We may share them with Kakita dono."

[Dapper Dog]

She nodded and brought them to the undercroft to look at some records and showed them two images.

"Here is what we have," she offered.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He nodded to the Falcon. "Kuni-sama, if it would not be much to ask, could you bring me a sheet of paper and a piece of coal?"

[Dapper Dog]

She replied, "I see no issue with that."

An eta puts down the requested items on a table and moved back to the shadows.

His sketches were not so bad, and grasped the most important points of the pictures.

“Are either of these familiar, these are all we have from our records. The woman is obviously Bujeihime and the man is Gusari. The picture of Gusari is said to be on the eve of his last battle while I am not sure where the picture of the Crane comes from.”

She shrugged and said, “Pretty I suppose, for a Crane.”

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko looked at the image and tried to see if it had any resemblance on the woman she met that was washing clothes. The Toritaka blinked a few times. She seemed to have forgotten the face.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Toritaka-san, what do you plan to do with those?" He passes to her his sketches. "Something to do with reuniting her family... But what exactly? How do we plan to encounter her?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

The Toritaka smiled. She looked at the Asahina. "Maybe take them to the beach... or to those she has presented herself to." The Toritaka looked at the Kuni. "Any suggestions, Kuni sama?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Would you like to come with us, Kuni-sama? Someone that Hida-sama trusts to be a testimony would be of much help, and I believe it to be relevant for her as well."

[Dapper Dog]

"It is my responsibility so yes I would like to see this through." She responded to the Toritaka and said, "It might be useful to know if they saw the same woman, but usually these objects or anchors are something close to the person in life or has symbolic meaning."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"It looks familiar but I cannot pinpoint where or when." Hana shrugged. "Kuni sama, I would like to know a bit more about the founding of this town."

[Dapper Dog]

Junza chuckled at that question and said, “The village has been here a long time, centuries. Not really sure how it got its start but it probably predates the castle by at least a century or more and the castle was probably built in maybe the seven or eight hundreds? Records were not a priority or more likely lost through conflict and when the castle was left unused.”

“Anything specific you are looking for?”

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I was just wondering if there was some odd event during the founding of the town that has let spirits linger around." She just had to know. "Besides the portrait of these two... do you know if there are any toy soldiers of old?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't think so, but the region ahs always been rife with ghost stories, just part of the charm," she said calmly.

"Peddlers sell such things, but nothing significant tied to the issue at hand."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Hm... Would you want to reunite Kitsuki-san, Kio-sama, Kakita-bugyo with us then so we may go at the beach? Kio-sama seems to be able to see her, though I am wary on bringing to such a hazardous situation a child."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

The Toritaka looked at the Asahina. "That would be interesting approach. I'll advisable to bring a child to the beach at night. Then again if anger of the spirit is towards her then... it may sound wrong but it is a hunting tactic to place a bait to catch a prey." She explained.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"She called Kitsuki-san mother and Kakita-bugyo father. I think the two are essential to the encounter. You can see spirits, Kio-sama is her target, Kuni-sama is a shugenja and Kitusuchi's aide. I'm not essential on the scene. Do you think I should not join?"
