She rode to the castle, well first she scouted the castle making sure to take note of the obvious defenses and escape routes and the not so obvious. Committed to memory she approached the gates and it was easy enough to feign being a late arriving guest, although that brought some trepidation her papers were in order.
Of course, they were.
Once inside she stabled her horse and then waited, patience often rewarded her.

Hifumi had spent very little time in the castle over the past week. But, she wished to see the wedding preparations, to witness what she could of the event in full.
Mostly, it was just watching people moving in and out of the castle. That's how she and Dango came face to face with the new arrival.
"Good afternoon." she offered a bow.

The Badger had not used the Crab Training Grounds for his own training before, and he would not do so today - the Crab had offered their guests much already, and imposing on them for a place to train was not needed with so much space outside.
Still, he hadn't found the time to walk around the Castle much with all that had happened in the last week, and he figured it'd be nice to take another look at the training of those who were preparing to defend his cousin.
As he walks to the Training Grounds, however, who he sees are the Monkey samurai he had met before... and someone else.
He bows to the Fuzake with a good-natured smile... and then to the other woman. He didn't think he had seen her around before?
Still bowing, and from a distance, he introduces himself briefly. "-sama. Ichiro Taiki frae th' Badger. Plait tae meit ye."

The woman nodded to them but kept her eyes on the training ground.

She was curious about the woman, but not enough to press her into conversation.
"It's good to see you again, Ichiro-san." she smiled as she stepped away. Finding an out of the way place to sit, where she could view much of the castle, the Monkey took out her yarrow sticks.

"Likewise, Fuzake-san", the Badger said before nodding to her as she walked off.
He also kept walking and looking at the training grounds, not wanting to push conversation with the other woman - at least not now.
Noticing, however, that she kept her eyes on the grounds, he got a bit curious. Was there something different happening in the grounds? He scanned the area with his eyes...
OOC:
Should I roll something, or is all just normal?

The woman brushed past both samurai towards the castle.

Yusuke smiled as he handed a scroll to a Crab messenger and said, “Make sure to let them know that we should not have shellfish for the journey.”

"Otomo Yusuke?" she asked as she approached.

With practiced ease, Hifumi began to divide and count the yarrow sticks, but was soon distracted by the arrival the Otomo.
She quickly put the sticks away and rose to her feet.

She leapt forward in an incredible leap her blade in hand and with a two swift and neat slashes cut the man in half and then flicked the blood away from sword. She then looked around waiting to see who of his allies would be first to draw their blade.
The Crab were shocked and many were drawing blades.

'"Why?" she asked as she approached.

'"Why?" she asked as she approached.

She raised her blade at the approaching Monkey samurai and said, “Your name and rank, now.”
“If any of you wish for a quick end, then come at me. You challenge the Emerald Champion of the Divine Throne and this scum was a villain, one of many. Now if you wish to survive you will alert the Empress to be of my presence.”
“Be quick, your lives are nothing to me,” she commanded.

"Fuzake Hifumi, seer of the Monkey. Witness of fate." she gave a deeper bow. "It was an execution, then. Good."

The Badger is wide-eyed at what he sees, and while he was a bit suspicious since the Otomo's behavior when the Miya had brought the news regarding Yuahime... he hadn't expected something like this, by a far cry.
Still, as the woman announces herself as the Emerald Champion, he kneels down and brings his head to the ground.
"Usagi-dono", he says, acknowledging her and her position. "If Usagi-dono will excuse this 'un, A may go send word of yer presence, Usagi-dono"
He wonders if he should ask about the Otomo's crimes, but decides against it.

The young Otomo finally arrives with a bundle of onigiri meant for the dark lady.
He stops, looking at the scene without believing his own eyes. They roll on the bloodied ground as he sees her pointing blades to other guests while his master is on the ground.
He doesn't understand why two people kelt down, and his voice cannot be contained as there's no dishonor in his actions.
"SHAME ON YOU! SULLING THE HOLY GROUND FOR A UNION WITH BLOOD. LOWER YOUR BLADES IN THE NAME OF THE HEAVENS!"

The Crab lower the weapons as the woman looked at Taiki and said, “Do that.”
She glanced to Hifumi and added, “An unexpected response, reveal what you know, now.” As the Otomo arrived his impassioned plea moves the Crab but only draws her critical gaze. Her poise becomes tense as she began mental calculations.
“Your name and rank now,” she commanded of the Otomo. She removed her wide brim hat and shrugged off the cloak revealing the armor of the Emerald Champion for those familiar with such things.

He runs to his master, and kneels in front of the dead man. Containing tears, he says, "Yusuke-sama... may the light of the Kami guide you."
That is the first reply he gives. Then, he looks up to the woman dressed in the armor of the Emerald Champion. "Have you forgotten? I already told you my name and rank. I was at the inn and have ran here to bring you food."
The Otomo takes a deep breath, "You murdered my master."

"If this was your master then your next few words should be chosen carefully," she said narrowing her eyes.
"Usagi Yeijiri."
OOC: If he so chooses this is a Sincerity + Awareness check at TN 27.

Whatever it was, Saisei doesn't give a fuck. The woman in front of him brought dishonor where she passed. He had already warned once, so the next step was to ignore. False courtesy shouldn't be given.
He stays silent, waiting for her judgement.

"I know only a fool would claim to be the Emerald Champion, if they were not. And, it is clear you are no fool." Hifumi responded. "If you felt this was necessary, then it was. Much has happened here in the past week. This, honestly, may be the least surprising."

She raised her blade and waited, instead he opted for silence. She was not a woman to trust anything but the threat as far as she was concerned was handled and the words of a lesser did not move her. Satisfied she lowered her blade and turned away from him and said to Monkey, “Tell me what has happened.”
She started cleaning her blade as she waited.

As the woman gives her back, the young Otomo maintains his silence and bows to the dead, asking permission in ritual form. Then, he fetches the wakizashi of his better and lifts himself up.
With another bow to the departed, he moves a bit away –– if not impeded –– to call for the eta and cleanse the place before any more harm to the event could be done.
