Bronze Carp Castle dates back to about the fifth or sixth century depending on the scholar, it has been abandoned a few times and rebuilt several times. Currently it has seen been in service for the last two centuries as a fortress and outpost of the Crab on the coast. Overlooking the waters of the bay, the structure can repel most moderate incursions with ease.

Currently the home of Hida Kitusuchi, it houses two hundred bushi and support staff, not including the peasant servants and levies. Guests, non-Crab samurai, are routinely stopped before they are allowed entry and no guests are allowed after dark without alerting the Lord of the Castle first. In-game this means that entry, for non-Crab samurai, after Mid Evening and before Early Morning must be approved by the Crab hosts.
