Day 2 Weather, Spring of 1178, 3rd Month, 11th day

The day is pleasant, with a cool breeze throughout the day, with a sunrise in the Mid Morning and the sun setting in the Late Evening, and the surf is not treacherous today. No rain in the region and the skies have plump clouds with a pleasant breeze coming in off the sea.

In the Mid Morning the local Kuni priests backed by castle soldiers check every guests with Jade and some brief questions/interrogations about exposure to corrupting agents. They also inspect the local Crab as well.

The village and castle are decorated with crimson and blue banners for the Earthy Pepper Festival; strings of peppers are lined around the doorways to homes and the Inn is offering a spicy menu in celebration. Street vendors are offering suggestive treats, often shaped to look like sexual organs and such.

There is a large bonfire at the shrines in the Early Evening till about the Early Night and lovers and couples are present giving offerings for fertility and being blessed with healthy children.

You didn't hear it from me, but it looks like the Mantis samurai are so bad they have to supplement their numbers with ronin.
