He tried to remember what exactly he said at the beach as he found himself to have some free time. Art that could only be appreciated once, wasn't it what he did as a performer? Wasn't it that all those paintings meant to portray? Then why not use this day as art itself? Regardless, he was quite on the edge with all the sudden revelations weighing on his shoulders for so many... days?

This was time to relax some.

Thus he took his art materials, although they were much more for calligraphy than painting itself — it mattered not — put on his casual kimono, and started to paint something on a wagasa.

This was certainly subpar. He tried again, this time painting the four seasons as they blended on themselves. Even if the paintwork was not impressive this time, at least the theme would be interesting enough that it would be worth to keep.

This. This was at least half good. Good enough. He told a servant to deliver it to Yuuwaku, but not tell her who did it.
Some times, you had to take your chances in life. He smiled to himself like a fool as he gathered his things.
