"Kakita-san seems most worldly and wise, and this one is happy to have met her", he took a sip of the tea, then cleaned the cup. "Tell me more, though, what manner of arts did Kakita-san study at the glorious academy of her family?"

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

She nods.

"I focused on dance, my sensei remarking on my potential with it when I was initially tested. I dabble in both painting and poetry, as well, although I do not do nearly so well in them as others--or as I do in dance.

"But there is much to explore in any art, of course, and all, at root, are one."

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Surely so, the Kakita have shown time and again that art is many facets of the same method", he said. "According to legend, in any case. This one has yet to see one perform their skills, a thus is in rapt anticipation."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Without a word, Yuuwaku stands, unfolding like a letter that has found its way through court to the one for whom it is intended. Her fan opens in time with her rising, and she looks him dead in the eyes. And when it and she are fully out, fully open, she begins to dance (30). It is a sinuous, tantalizing dance, one that displays her grace and control and highlights just how toned her figure is beneath the layers of kimono that are somehow not a hindrance to her.

It is only a few minutes of performance, but it is all for them; her eyes do not leave his the whole time, nor does her smile waver.

A Scorpion wears a mask. Others see a face unchanged often, and it creates a lack of trust. Yet they are also a boon. The enemy never gets to see you sweat, or your eyes bulge out of your head.

To say Shitoru sat back with calm ease however would be a lie. The Scorpion was very clearly taken in by the Crane's performance. There were few things that found the man's attention better than art performed perfectly and by a beautiful woman who knew her strengths in the matter.

He felt himself a grave idiot, but it would not stop his thinly veiled gawking.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

As Yuuwaku resumes her seat, still smiling, just the faintest hint of sweat-sheen showing on her skin, she recognizes the effect she has had upon her audience.

And that's not even working the after-dark version of the dance, she thinks.

Demurely, however, she asks "I hope my performance has satisfied." Her lips purse ever so slightly after, just slightly.

"I-", he stopped and cleared his throat. "This one is greatly honored by Kakita-san's efforts, and look forward to saying so again. Perhaps sometime I can show you how you've inspired this one. I am not as elegant and graceful as Kakita-san is, but my dedication is no less apparent. This one holds only the faintest hope of being able to impress now having seen such an inkling of your skills."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku but smiles and bows her head to the compliment.
