D7 - EE - Tea & Sake - (Expecting)

[Hiruma Roger]

Having only recently reopened it wasn't difficult for Roger to secure a small private room to have a sit down between some of the Crane and Crab to discuss a very delicate subject. He orders small snacks, as well as Tea and the finest Sake the place offers. Roger arrives first and waits for his guests.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

We could have done this at the castle. This place? With Masao-dono? To discuss a matter serious like this? For sakes...

He arrived, dressed on the kimono he wore to the Imperial Proclamation, bowing to the Hiruma.

[Aji]

The nun entered with a smile and greeted the Crab.

[Dapper Dog]

Junza is deep in the cups as she waited for the Crane.

[Hiruma Roger]

"I am sure Kakita-san will be along shortly, would you prefer refreshments while we wait Asahina-san?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I would rather wait for him, thank you, Hiruma-sama."
He takes his fan.

[Dapper Dog]

Another Crab joined them and said, "I thought that was you, big bird-san. So what are you drinking?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He smiled lightly. "Oh, Biyo-san, long time no see. I'm still getting tea. Just a meeting between me and the shugenja scheduled here."

[Dapper Dog]

"Tea... in the Hole, they run out of piss did they?" she said chortling loudly.

"Shoju for the table, it has been long my dear friend and my bed is still so cold these recent nights," she said with a playful smirk.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

Thanks all the Fortunes Masao was not here.

"Oh, don't word things like that in front of others. We never had anything." He blushes in embarrassment. "Are you a yojimbo for one of the two?" He asked.

[Dapper Dog]

"I can do more than make those cheeks red," she said with a deep drink.

"No, just here throwing back while I can," when he asked about being a yojimbo.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Ah. It's a rather important meeting for me, so we even took a side-room and all. We are waiting for Kakita-dono to close the table, though, so I can't invite you to sit alongside."

[Kakita Masao]

When Kakita Masao arrives, in his usual humble soldier attire, he finds quite an assortment of people around the table. But he keeps a polite Crane smile in place as he greets them all, bowing and expressing his honor to meet and regrets for arriving late. (OOC: just handwaving this to save us six posts of introductions)

Masao doesn't recall the Crab woman, but has a strong sense he's rescuing Sanaharu from something by shifting the focus to himself.

[Hiruma Roger]

He smiles as the Kakita joins them, "Thank you for coming gentlemen, I figured this was a better spot to hold this meeting then the castle, especially with our most recent guests arrival there are ears everywhere there."

[Kakita Masao]

Nodding at the thanks and raising an eyebrow at the Crab's stated concern, the Crane nikutai is otherwise unmoved.

[Dapper Dog]

"Ah. It's a rather important meeting for me, so we even took a side-room and all. We are waiting for Kakita-dono to close the table, though, so I can't invite you to sit alongside."

"Oh, you wound me?" she responded.


"Biyo-san, pour me some shoju," the Kuni responded.

[Dapper Dog]

Aji just waited to see what the meeting would bring.

[Hiruma Roger]

Roger takes Junza's acceptance of the other Crab as permission to begin.

"Asahina-san has brought to our attention that the current heir to Cold Wind City was wounded while on campaign in Crab lands, That this wound has festered for some time and that all the healers the Crane have brought to bear on it have been unable to aid in the healing of the wound, nor is it healing naturally. He is concerned that the expertise of Crab healers, who are more familiar with such wounds may be required. That is why I have arranged this meeting, so that our spiritual and physical healing experts can collect the information needed to provide you with a possible treatment."

[Dapper Dog]

Junza threw back a cup of shoju and said, “Okay, like I said earlier how did this happen, what has been done to this injury? I need as much information as you can give. Has anything made it worse? Is there a smell? Does it ooze? Is there pus? I am enthralled to know more.”

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He made it look like he was opening his mouth to answer Biyo when the Hiruma started talking, but he had nothing to say and merely knew the flow of conversations. When he finished, he took the shoju bottle and served his own cup, putting it at the empty side of the table Biyo was posted at. Please no commentaries about buying you a drink.

"I did not exactly see it myself the sordid details, I only knew he was injured, treated and not recovering."

[Aji]

Aji nodded and added, "This sounds like a severe injury."

[Dapper Dog]

"So why you dress so nice, Big Bird-san? You already caught my eye," she said with a grin.

"Not that I am complaining... mmm mmm you are a tall hard drink of a man."

[Hiruma Roger]

"When exactly did the injury occur? How many weeks ago?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He was starting to regret praying for Benten earlier.

"I'm an artist, Biyo-san, a center of attention ever so often. It has been approximately two months, Hiruma-sama."

[Hiruma Roger]

"Two months before you left or two months now?"
