After a little while Yoko has a thought, "Ikeda-sama," she says, looking over to Ishi. "You want to find out if he knows, yea? We don't want to confront him if he does, that could just.." she shook her head.

"Anyway, you want to know if he knows, maybe just ask him? Otomo-sama seemed a good man to me, one you could go to for advice, eh? Maybe go to him and ask him for advice. Reference the letter and explain.. a hardship, a reason to find difficulty with what you've been asked to do. Everyone's alloeed to slip a little, eh? So.. it might help you figure it out without actually exposing yourself, right?" she asks, looking around the room to gauge if it was a good suggestion or if she was crazy.

"That's as good a plan - if he's innocent. If he's not, he'll slip something up. In the meantime, Oturi-sama, Ikeda-sama, Yoko-san, you are welcome to stay at the blue bird inn should you need somewhere safer to sleep. Do we know anyone Bayushi Ijihime trusts who can speak to her besides Otomo-sama?"

"When Hida Yoji was threatened by a supposed witch, the authorities thought it was this artist woman of some kind, but apparently she was proven clean. Might be her, might not."

"If it was supposed to be a ronin artist Amika is the only wave-woman I know who paints, or really could be considered an artist unless you're talking about someone who is an artist with a blade, eh?" she chuckled to herself as she glanced around.

"She seems a humble honest sort, from what I know. Idea of a Scorpion taking interest her unnerves me a little, being honest."
