He wakes up, and notices that at his side there was not the poem he did a night before and left there. Instead, there was two unpainted wagasas.
Weird. One of them had definetively been painted? And where was his poem?
Most importantly, he noticed that only two of his kimonos were used. He surely would have used up three?
It's not until he leaves the bedroom to beat his head on the top of the door again that the truth oddly sets in.

The Otomo wakes at the inn where the Toritaka left him the other day, after they spoke about ghosts and spirits. He rubs his eyes once, and then twice. Yet, the shining figure does not disappear. From the inn's room small window facing the shores, the golden light of Lady Sun shines through the spirit and into Saisei's face.

"Oh! You finally noticed me." The shining figure says, shaking its head.

Then, it says, before disappearing, "Saisei-kun. You're trapped here, and useless to our destiny. Lady Sun and Lord Moon will repeat this day over until you all find a way to unmake the curse. Pay attention: you must not d..."

As someone scratches at his door, the spirit is gone.

Sen knew what was up. Because she woke up in a completely different state than when she went to bed the previous night. Something was wrong.

This was later then he recalled waking today? Yesterday? Something felt blurry, a little unreal. A knock sounded at the door of his cabin and after sliding into some clothing he told whoever was outside to enter.

Now this, this was certainly familiar. Learning about the death of a crew member two days in a row. How had Beijing died twice though?

He dismissed the man before shaking his head and frowning. He had things to do today. Like prepare for a party? This waa goingvto be something....

Taiki woke up from horrible nightmares. This time, however, the nightmare was... different. He heard the screams, the horrible sounds, like so many other times. There were horrible creatures, as usual. He had to turn his back and run...

...But then he was an adult. Had a very slow day, met a Captain. All that right here, in Fire Shrimp Village. Tried to sleep inside his dream, then woke up to strange voices - always a weird and unsettling feeling. He then felt as if compelled to walk to the beach... then as if he had fallen asleep and woken up again - all inside this dream.

The last part of the dream was the weirdest. As he 'woke up' in this dream, he heard screams again. Felt them, even - but as an adult now. He got into his armour, got his Ono and walked out. Into the docks. There was another horrible creature there... and once again, he felt he wasn't strong enough. But he did his best, and tried to protect the others. The village. The others who came up to fight beside him.

He got clawed and bitten, his armour rended as if it were a bento box, his chest opened in a number of places. He looked down at his open abdomen, but somehow still stood. Felt the energy start to leave him, the pull of the darkness... and then some light, a comforting feeling...

And there he was. In bed. No wounds, no scars.

This was definitely different. The weirdest nightmare he ever had.

The weirdest part is that the last part... it all felt awfully real.

Wait. It was real. It had to be. He remembered all that. It had happened.

Something was wrong. Very wrong. He should probably go and talk to his cousins. And the Toritaka...

It took until Keigo left the inn to realize that anything was strange, but then he noticed everyone moving in the same patterns as yesterday, the same overheard conversations.

The nightmares last night had been the same as the day before. Something weird was going on.

After the witch hunt Ushi had laid low and kept to themself a little - no need for any further suspicion to be placed on the Scorpion. Now, it seemed, they hadn't needed to worry as things were plenty suspicious all on their own.

The Scorpion watched as the world repeated itself around them with mild concern and great interest.
