Strolling the Streets (Day 1 Mid Afternoon)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Well, touching and tasting a person might be difficult, so I suppose talking helps make up for that part of the getting to know someone process." His own chopsticks had been retrieved from his sleeve, and he continued to sample from his own meal.

"Still it's interesting to hear why you want to know more about people. I think my own reason is more just curiosity." He paused a moment his brow knit. "But I admit I haven't given much thought to it either."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"That's one thing about traveling. Especially traveling alone; You have a lot of time to think. Perhaps it's different sailing since there's so much work to do or such? And you said you were in charge of people, so that would be an added burden on your mind. Me? I've no one to worry about besides myself most of the time."

A small bite, speaking a bit quieter.

"And you think those things might be difficult? That too is something else I have learned then."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"For certain people." He offered with a quietly in return. "Not everyone is as open to getting so close to someone, though I can't say I'm opposed." He certainly had been thinking over the things his father said a lot more lately at the very least.

"I suppsoe we would have a differnt perspecive there. Sailing on a Kobune is not somethign one every does alone." There were far too many tasks for that. "I do have time to think of course, but often enough my thoughts aren't inwards. On myself or my wishes, btu spread among my crew and the tasks we need to achieve each day." He picked up his cup of tea and took a drink. "The few introspective moments I have are usually late in the evenign in my cabin over a cup of sake."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Hm. I don't always think about myself when I'm alone either, but I get your point. And you mean a cabin on your ship; You have one to yourself then?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"One of the perks of being the Captain." He replied with a slight smile. "Though it doubles as a planning room at times, and is often where I greet guests as well."

"You can't really enjoy a cup of tea on the deck after all, and my Cabin allows for privacy for certain discussions."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"I'm slightly surprised you can enjoy a cup of tea at all on a ship; Doesn't it spill out when the ship rocks back and forth?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Depends on the day and the seas really, though most of my guests come aboard when I'm at port. It's a lot easier to drink tea when you're at anchor." He smirked. "Not that I don't bring aboard passengers or the like, but sharing tea with them isn't always that common." He had work to do after all, especially when the ship was in motion.

"But when I do, well it's advised not to fill the cups quite so full."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"So the anchor keeps things from rocking so much? That's very handy. I thought they just held the ship in place to prevent them from blowing away. And how do you heat the tea on a boat made out of wood anyways?"

It was clear the Dragon did not know much about boats.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"The anchor helps some, but the dock itself helps as well, as well as the fact that people don't build docks where seas tend to be overly rough. You can say it's a combination of all those things that really help."

"As for boilign the tea? Carefully." He replied with a soft chuckle. "Fire is allowed on the ship on very specific circumstances, and we know how to keep it from spreadings. Not that accidents don't happen, but rarely are they anything majot that will threaten the ship." No that sort of thing generally took place only in battle.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Hm. Very educational. Well, all yhe more reason to come out and see your ship, see some of how it all runs first hand, neh?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Certainly, there is no better way to learn then to see for yourself." He agreed with a smile. "Though without going out to sea there is also only so much I can show you."

[Kitsuki Naida]

Her eyes widen a little bit, eyebrows going up.

"...can we take a ride out to sea?"

She sounded a bit excited. Though only a bit, in a restrained adult sort of way.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"It's maybe something that could be arranged, if there were enough interested parties." He offered, sadly having to crush her dreams a little.

"Getting the Kobune sailing does take the majority of my crew though. So sadly it's not something I can do for just one."
