[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

The Toritaka had started her investigation on the beach spirit unknowing of the terrors that this curse would bring. The battered Falcon girl made her way to the shine, perhaps someone can tend to her wounds and tell her more about the curse or the girl she saw during the night.

She whistled to her falcon and her dog to follow her.
Maybe they will also bless you to have a nice child after you marry. Maybe you'll find a nice guy to give you some happiness in your life. What do you think?

"I think I should be focusing in whatever happened last night." She sighed. "You didn't see the horrors I saw. The dismembered crew of what ever boat had fallen."

I've have not forgotten my training. It can be tricky to separate the visions from the realms and the truth.

"The truth is: I am in pain. These fortune cursed bruises are proof that what happened last night happened." She showed her arm to the flying bird.

There is a nun sweeping up the pathways.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Excuse me..." She called out. "Is there healer or a medicine person around?" As Kuma perched on one of the statues. Sari sat beside the statue Kuma had set down.

[Aji]

“Samurai-sama, I have some training in the medicinal arts. Is someone injured?”

Once she got a good look at the woman she said, “My word, what happened to you?”

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

She looked at the nun and bowed her head. "I was at the beach early last night and a spirit wailed at me... I think it was a spirit." The Toritaka as if it was probably common story around. "I could sense it... the cold and then the battle... and the laugher."

[Aji]

"You saw it?" she said with surprise.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"The girl?" She was puzzled. There were a lot of it at the beach at night.

[Aji]

"Whatever has cursed the beach and this village," she said in reply but quietly as if trying not to summon whatever evil it was to them.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko looked at the falcon and the dog and nodded. Hanatsuko whispered her next words. "Is there a way to lift the curse? I want to help and what a great gift to the village it would be if this was lifted." She nodded sagely.

[Aji]

She started walking into the shrine and said, "This one is unsure, this has happened before... has it been ten years?"

"I had just started my position here, what did you see?" she said looking for things to tend to the woman's injuries.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko closed her eyes as she tried to remember. "I started to feel cold. I heard some laughter coming from the beach. Then the water was filled with blood... The debris... it was... people pieces... more laughter came from the now what was the camp fire we made to battle some of the cold... I could sense the spirit was close. There was this... this grueling sound... then she came out from behind me..." She shook her head. "The noise that came out of her mouth... it was chilling and shattering."

[Aji]

"They mentioned hearing and seeing a girl," the nun said.

She frowned and added aloud, "That makes sense. I have never seen this child, but it must be part of the story somehow." Satisfied she had what she need she bade the samurai come join her.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko nodded. "The girl seems to be looking for her parents." She assumed as the word resounded in the back of her mind. "I have 4 days to find them."

[Aji]

"It was four days, last time," she said grimly.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I see... who was it and was the fate the same? I want to help... what is the story from 10 years ago?" She wondered in curiosity.

[Aji]

“You will have to understand samurai-sama, it was ten years ago but I remember many details. Accidents started happening around the village, many of them fatal but in the night people would wander down to the sea and drown themselves. I tried to stop them but they did it time and time again for four days and then it ended.”

She shivered and then said, “But the strangest thing was that no matter how many vanished the people did not remember what happened. It was as if they simply forgot. Until the little boy washed up on the beach after the fourth night. They remembered some of the events but most just wanted to forget. The Kuni found nothing and in time other concerns came forward.”

“This child you mentioned could be tied to the old tale of Doji Bujeihime and Hida Gusari, but there is no mention of a child that I know of.”

[Kakita Konohamaru]

"Aji! Aji! If you're hiding, this legiti-"

He stopped upon seeing the Monk, alongside a wounded samurai. He headed over, offering an apologetic bow as he did.

"Forgive my loudness, Aji-san. I need to speak to you about local witc-"

He saw the samurai she was tending to, and perhaps the fortunes were kind. She looked like no major clan he could think of, and based on the presence of the bird...

"..es. I can wait. Is that Torikata Hanatsuko?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Bujeihime... I've heard that name." She wondered. Then the Magistrate arrived. "Ah... Hai... Crane sama." She looked at the nun. "Thank you."

She looked at the Crane. "Did Kakita Masao told you about me?"

"Bujeihime... I've heard that name." She wondered. Then the Magistrate arrived. "Ah... Hai... Crane sama." She looked at the nun. "Thank you."

She looked at the Crane. "Did Kakita Masao told you about me?"

"No, Ichiro Taiki. I understand you know something about the spiritual going ons here?"

The magistrate produces a scroll and some writing implements as he talks.

"I'm working with local authorities. Anything you know would be immensely helpful."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I see... As a spirit hunter... I got a story from a... I think she was a ronin, named Bujeihime about the spirits of the beach. I am now unsure that she was a ronin..." She shook her head. "Anyways... I decided to put my training to good use early last night... I sensed a spirit and... the laughter of a child." She took a breath. "Long story short this spirit gave a wail and a warning."

[Kakita Konohamaru]

Konohamaru nods, taking down what he can.

"Thank you. Aji-san, if you know anything about what this spirit might be, please don't hesitate to let me know."

[Aji]

"I don't know anything about this particular being as I was telling her," she said honestly.

"I am confused, have you encountered this spirit?"

[Kakita Konohamaru]

"No. But I trust Torikata-san's testimony in this matter. Do you know of anything which might bring about a spirit? Anything odd, evil, cursed, the like? Or you could tell me what you told her. Whatever works."

[Aji]

"Whatever has afflicted this village... this region has happened before," she said honestly.

"I was here, ten years ago."

[Kakita Konohamaru]

Konohamaru nods, encouraging her to continue.
