[Day 2 - MA] Earthy Pepper Festival [Observation Thread]

[Dapper Dog]

The parade begins in the village but ends at the Fertile Mounds Shrine where the offerings are given to the large pyre. The large phallic offerings are a source of joy and cheering by the peasants and samurai alike.

A good, perhaps scandalous time!

OOC: Players in the event can join this after they finish the parade. Open to all.

[Hida Fuboshi]

Hida Fuboshi was present in a fine kimono eating a rather suggestive treat. She had done this many times but this year she was fine to see her guests enjoy the opportunity. Really this was a great day she looked forward to every year.

She was old, not dead.

[Daidoji Kaneko]

Kaneko was also present viewing the festivities with an interested eye. The flow of social exchange was evidenced everywhere, not leastwise in the phallic representations of such exchange being consumed by the many people at the festival. Kaneko seemed relatively comfortable in the environment. Taking note of a number of things in her head.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Not far off is Yuuwaku, dressed resplendently and carrying three simpler kimono draped over one arm. Once again, her forehead jewel glitters in the light.

They seemed so scandalized at the idea, she thinks as she looks out over proceedings. A smile creeps up her face as she watches. But it's not a bad view.

Kaneko noticed the Mantis captain watching the parade a short distance away and subtly meandered nearer to the woman.

When the flow of traffic allowed her to be next to the Mantis seafarer she spoke.

"Yoritomo-sama, it has been a while since we've seen you in Mura Sabishii Toshi. It's nice to see you again. I trust your days have been fruitful and active as of late?"

[Yoritomo Xung-Ji]

“Oh… oh, Daidoji-san, as I live and breathe, didn’t realize the Crab were collecting the best and brightest for this affair,” she said in response.

[Daidoji Kaneko]

She gave a soft chuckle in response, "The Crab deserve only the best. I have simply tagged along with the best and brightest to offer a hand... Only one mind you."

She made a gesture to her missing arm.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku sees Hida Kitsuchi and three of her Clan-mates carrying their offering with aplomb. She smiles at it, nods her head vigorously in approval, setting light scattering from her forehead gem.

"That's the way to do it!" she says.

And her eyes widen as she looks at other participants in the procession.

That's the way, indeed!

[Doji Yuma]

Not far off is Yuuwaku, dressed resplendently and carrying three simpler kimono draped over one arm. Once again, her forehead jewel glitters in the light.

Yuma quickly wiped out sweat and humidity from his body with whatever clean rag he could find before gladly accepting one of the kimonos and becoming seemly again.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

Kitusuchi was proud of her team but did not put on a kimono enjoying the moment. Even her mother gave her a nod of approval.

Their team having found some success despite their own failing Ushi had donned their robes and joined the crowd.

“One hand is all you need, two hands is just cheating,” she mused.

“Seems the Crab and Crane are working well together, I thought they were joking when they said they would be carrying dicks up a hill. More fool me.”

"Blunt as the sacred statues people have been lugging up the hill." She said with a chuckle.

"There's something to be said I suppose... for the willingness to show what matters to one so openly."

Yuuwaku bows as she can; she is still holding clothing.

He looked back in direction of the pyre at her remark:

"I have only seen him once in the middle of the crowd yesterday and he isn't wearing his mon at the moment... But isn't the heavy lifter of the team that just finished the Otomo we were talking about yesterday?"

"Don't undersell yourself; the Fortunes would scarcely favor one who did not merit it."

And she looks more intently at the one Yuma indicates. "It does appear so, Doji-san. And he seems to be acquitting himself well, indeed."

Something of a blush creeps up Yuuwaku's cheeks at the sight of him handling such a thing so well.

"I wonder if he will be at tonight's event."

[Yoritomo Xung-Ji]

"I like people that can deal directly with a thing and don't spend hours beating around the bush. This Mantis ain't got time for that," she said honestly.

"Good folks, strong arms, and they know how to fight. Have you met Fuboshi-dono?"

[Doji Yuma]

"I wonder if he will be at tonight's event."

"The dinner? Unless the earth opens under him or he really wants to send a message, I can't picture an important imperial guest skipping the welcome dinner of an event he has been invited to. That would be very disrespectful of etiquette and he should be better raised than that."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

She looks around at the flow of people and joy in their faces, "The people seem to be in good spirits. Speaks well of her and her leadership."

“People love a party, it does not take much to please people when you have good food and spirits to spare,” she replied.

“Plus, dicks are funny to look at.”

[Daidoji Kaneko]

She smirked and nodded her head, "Funny indeed."

She admired a bit of a phallic-shaped snack she had picked up along the way that had been in her fingers. "So is that what brings you here to Crab lands as well? Some food, spirits, and perhaps a funny object to take home?"

After pulling her weight on the parade, the girl took a seat. She didn't take the time to put her robes apropiately. Kuma perched on her not so covered shoulder. Sari just walked over and sat on her feet. "You are not a puppy anymore . "

She smirked and nodded her head, "Funny indeed."

She admired a bit of a phallic-shaped snack she had picked up along the way that had been in her fingers. "So is that what brings you here to Crab lands as well? Some food, spirits, and perhaps a funny object to take home?"

"Oh... just husband shopping," she replied watching the parade.
