The beaches face west and southward and are many shads of brown and red, and local legends say the beaches are stained red from the many battles between Crab and Crane samurai.

The Crane allows her attention, and as she rolls his clothing off the other shoulder, one hand is gently tracing the edge of her kimono, from the back of her neck around, toward her chest. He lets that hand drift away before the touch is too invasive, but then his other hand, on a newly bare arm, begins a similar slow journey, from the back of her neck, around to her collarbone...

She smiled as her finger traced his now bare torso. She moved to whisper in his ear "Are you going to free this bird?" She playfully bit his ear.

The Crane nips back at her for the bite, and the look in Masao's eyes doesn't need any words to help explain it.
