A Evening Gathering (Day 3 Mid Evening)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The two men and one woman didn't take long in setting up, and soon enough a lively tune was being played for the enjoyment of the guests. It wasn't tye type of thing one would find in court, instead somethign that would appear in sake houses, or at impromtune celebrations.

The instruments were of rokugani make, but there was a hint of something decidely foreign in the way they played. Or at least how they started. When the Ronin singer took the stage, well things were liekly to change.

[Otomo Saisei]

Saisei arrives to the party with a gloomy aura around him. His usual bright smile not present. He holds his left arm a bit after feeling an itching sensation to the wound he got earlier, and walks into the party to provide a bow to the Captain when he is able to acknowledge, but doesn't disturb further since he's in a conversation.

"I'm kind of small, and your house is really nice. It's a home and I think it's cozy too!"
Turning to Naida
"I haven't seen many Crab homes, but Hiruma-san's one is really cute."

"I mean, I'm all for adventure. But perhaps it would be wise to leave 'very very dangerous' adventure off my plans. Now seeing a 'cute' Crab home? THAT would be quite the story to tell."

She glances at Sen with a soft smirk.

“It’s just a humble little place at the edge of the farmlands. Nothin’ special.” Sen could feel the Kitsuki’s eyes on her and decided it was a good time for another swig of her drink.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"I am blessed with two very skilled priestesses, it's mostly their skills you see on display today." Shouji replied, his smile pleased.

"Still thank you, we'd hoped to impress and create a place people could enjoy."

"You have done more than expected, this is wonderful. But please do not waste time on us, we shall manage," she said warmly.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Perhaps. But if the Moshi says it's cute, I'm inclined to believe her. Wouldn't you trust such a cute woman to judge cuteness normally, Hiruma-san?"

Sen slowly blinked, “I mean, yes, Moshi-san is very cute. If she thinks my home is cute, I’ll take that in stride.”

This Kitsuki was one scary Danger Noodle.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Best to let people get a bit further in. And if there is a singer to come, that will change what dance gets done.

[Yoritomo Katsu]

"Good evening, Yoko and Yoritomo-sama," she bowed once more when she was given the introduction to Katsu, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything, I just wanted to say thank you for holding this event and sharing your generosity with us. All of us," she added as an afterthought as the tea and sake would have made better value with Clan samurai for favours.

"Shy, sure..." she said on a reluctant note, even if she can't refute the claim, "I'm hoping to do something less shy today, maybe."

Katsu bowed sharply. "Yue-san. Good to meet you." He studied her through narrowed eyes. "Hunter of small critters? Is there much money in that?"

[Amika]

Finally the party seems to be more active, with a lot of guest all around the place. Amika decided it was the time for her to took the main stage. She was not a profesional rokugani singer, and this type of art was not her focus, but she will give it a try and she liked singing.

She went to the stage were the musicians were playing the music. She was somewhat nervous being in front of all these people, most of which were higher status samurai. At least compared to her that is. At least she was dressing fine with her new furisode and didn't seem like a common ronin.

She bowed to the public. Took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. Focus on her inner spirit and seeking to harmonize herself to the world around her. There was nothing in front of her, only void. Suddenly she started singing, her voice was sweet but also powerful....

Memories will someday disappear

The song was somewhat sad, but beautiful. It took some time for Amika to snap out of her inner void as she felt deeply emotional as her performance went. Once the last lyrics finished she look at the crowd and bowed to them...

Oh, thinks Yuuwaku, she's the singer!

And Yuuwaku moves to a prominent location and dances to accompany the performance--seemingly impromptu, but seeking to accentuate the feelings of amity promoted by the gathering.

She dances exceedingly well (44).

Saisei's previous gloomy air starts to fade away as he listens to such an amazing song, and sees Yuuwaku dancing once again. With a fuzzy feeling inside the goes to the refreshments table to sip something stronger.

The sip brings back his smile.

Katsu bowed sharply. "Yue-san. Good to meet you." He studied her through narrowed eyes. "Hunter of small critters? Is there much money in that?"

When Amika took to the stage, Yue went quiet and gave her an audience. She assumed that Amika wasn't a ronin but a Clan samurai with her profession and dress of choice, rather than the albino animal that was a ronin artisan. Maybe a Sparrow? She would nod in appreciation to her song, as well as the follow up dance from the Crane. Performers had some measure of respect from her as they could perform and she could not.

"No....there isn't much money in it. I suppose it depends on who is paying. Some people would pay good money to pad out their hunting trips a bit," she said honestly on her business model, seeing as she was talking to a Mantis and not a Crane, "I can supply them with extra glory on their trips."

"I'm just trying to know more people, Yoritomo-sama. I was told by Yoko-san that you were friendly to her kind," she said as she looked to the other ronin.

[Amika]

From the main stage, Amika also watches as Yuuwaku dances, and perhaps due to her harmony with void she indeed managed to resist at first the effect from her beautiful dance, the fact was that, she also felt entranced to her skilled performance...

He paused a moment when Amika took the stage to sing. Hiring her had been a wonderful decision it seemed. He was a bit surprised that she had joined in, and his eyes shifted towards the Crane woman watchign her for a few moments as she danced

As the song ends, and Yuuwaku's dance with it, she accepts a few murmured words of thanks from nameless NPCs and watches with a slight smile as the effect of her efforts spreads.

This should help things, she thinks. At the least, it cannot have hurt.

Watching the performance, Katsu seemed less scowly. Maybe. About 20%. For him, that was really good. At one point, he even smiled. A little. Let's not go crazy, here.

Clearing his throat, he turned back to the two ronin. "Hah. Well. I don't know that I've ever been accused of being friendly..." Katsu chuckled dryly, "-but yeah, we're not the sorts to turn our noses up at ronin like some people do. Everyone deserves a chance."

[Amika]

Amika finally bows to everyone present from the stage and then steps downs and goes to the corner where she was previously standing. She had done a good performance, at least that is what she thought.

Free from conversation for the moment, SHouji's eyes scanned the crowd. Eventually ythe landed on the Otomo and he offered the man a polite nod in greeting. He didn't approach though instead letting his gaze shift to two of the lone women in the area. First the Bayushi and then Yuuwaku.

It was the Crane he went to though, she had just danced after all, and he should likely at least offer his gratitude.

"You honor me, my dashing captain," Yuuwaku says as she returns the bow. "But I would not have been able to give such a performance had you--I presume it was you, since you are the most eminent of your Clan here--not arranged for such fine music to dance to. And such a singer, too!"

She sketches a short bow in Amika's direction, the motion languid and graceful.

"It is always to the better when artists can work in accord together, do you not think?"

He smiled when she called him dashing, though it didn't recieve the blush it had the day they met. "I can not take all the credit, it was a member of my crew whoo suggested I get in touch with Amika-san after all." He motioned towards the Ronin girl in pink. she had preformed more then well, amazingly honestly.

"I just admit I didn't fully anticipate her level of skill though. Not how it would combine when two fine artists combined their skill together for the preformance." He chuckled softly. "It's going to be a tough act to follow as they say."

"Oh?" Yuuwaku asks. "Is there another act in the offing?"

She leans in closer, conspiratorially, her fan raised. "Or is Tsuruchi-sama planning an event with a smaller attendance?"

[Moshi Meiko]

"Perhaps. But if the Moshi says it's cute, I'm inclined to believe her. Wouldn't you trust such a cute woman to judge cuteness normally, Hiruma-san?"

Meiko looks between them, cheeks already red from nearly one whole alcohol and now redder from the exchange.

"Uhh...I mean...there are lots of cute samurai here, I'm nothing special. I think you're both great too! Cuteness comes from within!"
Meiko looks like she wants to continue but then the music starts.
"It's dancing time! Oh..it's a sad song, so slow sad dancing, and then we can start going faster! Are you ready Hiruma-san?"

"Oh?" Yuuwaku asks. "Is there another act in the offing?"

She leans in closer, conspiratorially, her fan raised. "Or is Tsuruchi-sama planning an event with a smaller attendance?"

"Oh, one of my crew members seemed intrested in sharing a song." He gestured towards Meiko where she stood with a few others. "And I admit I had thought of stepping up myself." He had heard he had a voice for singing a tthe very least.

Her next word brought a bit of flush to his cheeks, but he managed a teasing smile somehow. "Oh, is Kakita-san, wishing to get together even sooner?"

Sen couldn’t help but blush a little at the prospect of a slow dance with Meiko, who was being far too humble. “I’m as ready as I can be, Moshi-san.”

"Oh, one of my crew members seemed intrested in sharing a song." He gestured towards Meiko where she stood with a few others. "And I admit I had thought of stepping up myself." He had heard he had a voice for singing a tthe very least.

Her next word brought a bit of flush to his cheeks, but he managed a teasing smile somehow. "Oh, is Kakita-san, wishing to get together even sooner?"

"'Strike when the opportunity presents itself,' as I have heard many sensei say" comes Yuuwaku's swift reply to the last.

She adds, audibly, "I would be delighted to hear either or both of you, of course. Although had I known there would be more, perhaps I would have danced later?"
