[Day 6 - LE] Noh is the Thing

The Crane artists assemble the stage in the courtyard and prepare the
Noh play for the castle. Fuboshi does not look amused but Kitusuchi and her husband seem quite pleased with the affair and seem closer than ever. Meanwhile Daidoji Yushoko and Hida Yoji are seated together to watch this expertly performed play just beneath the raised dais of the Crab daimyo.
This was the place to be for the high brow entertainment.

Ah yes, finally the day would come for the play Yushoko arranged with her artist friends. On the place it would be done, he arrives early, wanting to meet (or meet again) the artists, somewhat surprised that Yuuwaku was not there. He approaches the artists organizing things with a deep bow.

Roger arrives at the play with his young charge, Chisa seems extraordinarily excited to see her first non-draw lot play.

Naida was there for the play as well; She was more of a Kabuki gal, but she wasn't the sort who got bored by slower plays and such. Probably a side effect of all the meditating or such.

It wouldn't do to be absent, nit for this. So the young Captain arrived in his finery to watch the Crane's play. Seeing the Governor and her husband on good terms was a fine thing.
May it was a good thing the hole was closed and seemed likely to stay that way.

Yuuwaku, dressed in her most resplendent kimono, fan and forehead-jewel in place through some grace, makes her way into the setup. She approaches Sanaharu briefly, bowing to him and saying "My apologies for the delay, Asahina-kohai. But I could not miss the performance, after all.
"May I sit with you? After all, it has been a while since we have been able to take in a performance together."

He bows back to her, deeply as always. "Have you eaten your portion of rice today, Yuuwaku-senpai? I would consider this not a delay, as the performance has not yet even started — you are as precise on the time of your appointments as always. As well, I would be the most delighted if you watched this performance by my side."

"I have," Yuuwaku replies, "and I've been able to return to myself, as well." She seats herself gracefully next to him. "I forget, did Daidoji-sempai say which company she had engaged for this event? Things have been busy, as I know you know, and memory does not always serve."

"If she specified a company, my memory does not remembers so. However, she did say that they were friends of her." Arriving early, it was a good seat. Not the best seats, those were obviously for Fuboshi and company. Neither the best guest seats, for those would be for the Imperials, but a decent seat all around.

"Oh, well, if they're friends of Daidoji-sempai," Yuuwaku notes, nodding so that the lamplight glistens in her forehead jewel, "then we will have little enough to comment upon, won't we?" She smiles, then, showing just a hint of teeth. "At least about the performance."
She glances around the room. "But that's not all that will be on display, will it?"

He replies the smile with a smile, not even noticing he did so. "I believe it was everything? I have not been called to perform anything myself... Although perhaps the Crab would want to make something at their own? Even then, I would doubt so. Their music, for what I witnessed, is not played on a stage but by the audience. This may be a custom, of course, due to the relevance that arts hold on their training."

"They labor greatly on our behalf," Yuuwaku notes. "We should not scorn the price they pay for it." She inclines her head. "And there is a certain charm in the rawness of their performance; it may not be finely tutored, but it is deeply felt, and art that moves a person so is to be prized.
"And when circumstances permit, they do show appreciation for what we do, and our classmates."

"Those words would be the most kind for those who work on the ground to hear. Blessed be your compassion, Yuuwaku-senpai." He replies. "It is an honor, is it not? That art made by the samurai from this land could be compared equally to art made in the Crane."
He smiles slightly.
"Sadane is good exercise."

You saucy shit, Yuuwaku thinks, smiling.
"It is. But all exercise rewards those who have the muscles to drive it," she quips back. "Best not ask someone to run who has no feet."

"Speaking of, is the inimitable Kio present?"

It felt... strange, having time move again. Knowing that mistakes of today would be remembered tomorrow.
Nevertheless, the dread magistrate is present, mostly to ensure nothing too terrible went down rather than to watch - for either the flock, nor the family present.
His ever undaunted eyes scanning the room constantly, wandering through its halls like air kami in an abandoned castle.

Noh was not really Taiki's thing.
At least he didn't think so. He didn't remember watching many of them, really. It was less noisy than Kabuki, which might be good at times, but... also less fun, maybe?
Well... it was a place for some calm, and that could be good.
He found a place out of the thick of the crowd to watch the play - or at least relax while it happened - and looked around.
Now... were those Kitusuchi and Yancho??
A smile crept onto his lips. Seemed like after all the trouble, at least some good was coming from all this.

Hanatsuko had her hair unbraided and wore it down it was quite long. She wore a
a flowery furisode that is in tone with her name. She was alone in terms of her crew of animals that followed her. She took a seat.
